Plaintiff Leigh A. Mccarthy, by her attorneys, Snelbaker &
I Brenneman, P. c., sets forth the within Complaint For custody and
in support thereof, states the following:
1. Plaintiff Leigh A. McCarthy is an adult individual
residing at 1 Terri Drive, Carlisle, Cumberland County,
Pennsylvania, 17013.
2. Defendant Bradley T. McCarthy is an adult individual
with an address of 18619 Gilbert Road, Arcadia, Michigan, 49613.
3. Plaintiff seeks custody of the following child:

1. The relevant information pertaining to the Child ....ho is the
subject of this litigation is as follows:

2. A Concil1ation Conference was held on May 21, 1996 with the
following individuals in attendance: The Mother, Leigh A. McCarthy, and her
counsel, Keith O. Brenneman, Esquire. The Father, Bradley T. McCarthy (whom
the Mother believed to be residing in Michigan) was not present at the
Conference.
3. According to the Mother, the Father had contacted her on
Mother's Day and advised that he had feceived notice of the Custody
Conciliation Conference but would not travel to Pennsylvania to attend. At
the time of the Conference, however, Plaintiff's counsel indicated that he
had not been able to document service of the Conference notice by Certified
Mail. Therefore, a Conference ....as sd.eduled for June 17, 1996 to allow
additional time for the Mother's counsel to effectuate legal service on the
Father. Prior to the June l7, 1996 Conference, the Mother's counsel
indicated that he had obtained service by Certified Mail on June 1, 1996 at
the Father's current residence in Florida. The Father did not contact the
Conciliator or appear at the June 17, 1996 Conference.
4. Based upon the fact that the Father did not attend the Custody
Conciliation Conference and upon the Mother's representations that the
Father has not attempted to see the Child since September 1995, the
conCiliator recommends an Order in the form as attached.
