INSTRUCTIONS TO THE DEFENDANT
As you know, the plaintiff has filed a legal action aaain:st you under the Protection
From Abuse Act and has obtained II Temporary Protection Order, .'he plaintiff i:s prepared
to haye a hellring held in order to obtain a final Protection Order effective for one (1) year.
As 4n alternative, you may con:sent to the entry of the final Protection Order to be in

and considerat.ion of the within Petition, nnd upon finding that
the plaintiff, lcela E, Woodall, now residipg at 519 N, Pit.t
Street, Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, is in
immediate nnd present danger of abuse from the defendant, Woodrow
L, W0odall, the following Temporary Order is entered,
The defendant, Woodrow L, Woodall, (SSN: unknown and date of
birth: 2/27/67) now residing at 221 Walnut Street, Carlisle,
Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, is hereby enjoined from
physically abusing the plaintiff, lceln E, Woodall., or placing
her in fear of abuse,
The defendant is ordered to stay away from the plaintiff's
residence locnted at 519 N. Pitt Street, Carlisle, Cumberland
County, Pennsylvania, a residence which is jointly owned by the
plaintiff and Robert. Woodall, the plaintiff's father-in-law, and
any other residence the plaintiff may establish,
The defendant is ordered to refrain from haVing any direct
or indirect contact with the plaintiff inclUding, but not limited
to, telephone nnd written communications.

the plaintiff In the face at least two times, grabbed
her by her hall', pulled h.'1' Into another room, and sat
h..r on the st.eps in the kitchen, The defendant put a
st..ak knife against the plaintiff's throat, The
defendant then Jabhed t.he kitchen counter with the
knife cal,sing tht! plaintiff to fear for her safety.
Tht! deft!ndant. got. a higger knife and forced the
plaintiff to put it In her hand making her put it
against his throat saying go ahead and do it. When the
plaintiff refused, the defendant took the knife out of
her hand, put it to her throat, and threatened her
saying that her refusal to harm him didn't mean that he
would not harm her, He also threatened that he could
hurt her and that. it. would be too late by the time
anyone arrived to help her,
b, On or about Apr'll 14, 1996, the defendant knocked
at the plaint.lff's door, but she refused to let him
into the residence and believed that he left, After
the plaintiff went up~tairs to lie down, she heard a
noise at her back door and heard glass breaking,
Felll'ing for her safety, the plaintiff started to escape
through her bedroom window, The defendant gra~bed her,
pulled h,'r into the bfHlroom, and repeatedly slapped her

abusing the plaintiff placing her in fear of
abuse,
2, Ordering the defendant to refrain from having
any direct or Indirect contact with the plaintiff
including, but not limited to, telephone and
written communications,
3. Ordering the defendant to refrain from
harassing and stalking the plaintiff and from
harassing the plaintiff's relatives,
4. Prohibiting the defendant from entering the
plaintiff's place of employment,
5, Prohibiting the defendant from removing,
damaging, destroying or selling property owned
solely by the plaintiff,
