The Contractor shall save and hold the Owner harmless from and against any and all liens or claims of any kind or character whatsoever that may be filed against the aforesaid property or property interests by a subcontractor, materialman, or any other person arising out of or in any manner connected with the performance of this Agreement, any agreement supplemental thereto, or any subcontract made pursuant to or in connection with the performance of this Agreement or any agreement supplemental thereto; and the Contractor shall. at its own expense, defend any and all action. based upon such liens or claims and shall pay all charges of attorneys and all costs and other expenses arising therefrom.
