RE: Jonathan C. BrOOKS VS. Sheri A. Brooks
No, 96 - 2204 Civil
In Oivorce
Dear Mr. Houston and Ms, BrookS:
By order of Court of President Judge Harold E, Sheely
dated May 23, 1997, the full-time Master has been appointed in
the above referenced divorce proceedings.
A divorce complaint was filed on April 24, 1996, raising
grounds for divorce of. irretrievable breakdown of the marriage
and the economic claim of equitable distribution.
The motion for appointment of Master indicates that
Judith A. Calkin has appeared on behalf of the Defendant;
however, Ms, Calkin has not entered her appearance in the
action, Consequently, we will deal directly with Sheri A.
Brooks until such time as we have an attorney of record for her,
I am going to proceed on the basis that gI'ounds for
divorce are not an issue and that either the parties will sign
affidavits of consent or have been separated for a period in
excess of two years, Based on that assumption I am directing
Mr. Houston, attorney for Mr. Brooks, and Sheri A. Brooks, who
presentl.y does not have an attorney of record, to each file a
pre~trial statement in accordance with P,R.C.P. 1920,33(b) on or
before Friday, June 27, 1997. Upon receipt of the pre-trial
statements I will immodiately schedule a pre-hearing conference
