plaintiff to fear for herself and her daughter since
the plaintiff was aware that In the past the defendant
had made threats to harm and had then shot at another
person who has been his Intimate partner.
,b, On or about April 24, 1996, during an argument,
the d~fendant blocked the plaintiff's exit from a
bedroom by slttln~ on the floor, leaning against a
dresser, and propping his feet against the door causing
her to fear for her safety. The plaintiff dialed 911
for help. A NOI'th Middleton Police Officer came to the
residence in response to the call, and escorted her to
her parents' home.
5. The plaintiff believes Bnd therefore avers that she is
in immediate and present danger of abuse from the defendant and
that she is In need of protection from such abuse.
6. The plaintiff desires that the defendant be enjoined
from harassing and stalking the plaintiff, and from harassing the
plaintiff's relatives.
7. The plainti ff desires that any weapons the defendant
owns, possesses, and has used or threatened to use against the
plaintiff be confiscated by the Sheriff's Department.
WHEREFORE, pursuant to the provisions of the "Protection
from Abuse Act" of October 7, 1976, 23 Pa.C.S. ~ 6101 et ll.9... as
amended, the plaintiff prays this Honorable Court to grant the
following I'ell~'f:

A. GrAnt a Temporary Order pursuant to the
.Prot~ction from Abuse Actt"
1. Ordering the defendant to refrAin from
abusing the plalntlff or pLacing her in feAr of
abuse.
2. Ordering the defendAnt to refrAin from
harAssing And stalking the pLaintiff and from
harassing the plaintiff's relatives.
3. Ordering the defendAnt to relinquish to the
sheriff's department Any weapons which he owns,
possesses or has used or threatened to use against
the plAintiff, and prohibiting the defendAnt from
acquiring or possessing any other weapons for the
duration of the order.
B. Schedule A hearing In accordance with the provisions of
the "Protection from Ahuse Act," and, after such hearing, enter
an order to be In effect for a period of one year:
1, Ordering the defendant to refrain from
abusing the plaintiff or placing her In fear of
abuse.
2. Ordering the defendant to refrain from
harassing And staLking the plaintiff and from
harassing the piaintlff's relatives.
3. Ordering the defendant to relinquish to the
sheriff's department any weapons whLch he owns,

Wharam. The plaintiff Is represented by Joan Carey of LEGAL
SERVICES, INC.; the defendant is unrepresented but is aware of
his right to have an attorney.
The partles agree that the
following may be entered 8M an Order of Court.
1. The defendant., Dewey .J. Wharam, agrees to refrain from
abusing the plaintiff, Debra K. Cobb, or placing her In fear of
abuse.
2. The defendant agrees not to harass and stalk the
plaintiff and not to harass the plaintiff's relatives.
3. The defendant agrees to relinquish to the sher'iff's
department any weapons which he .IRed or threatened to use against
the plaintiff, and agrees not to acquire or possess any other
weapons for the duration of the 0rder.
