AND NOW comes Petitioner, Brenda M. Ray, by and throuqh her
attorney, Michelle R. Calvert, Esquire, and support of her
Petition For Chanqe of Name of her minor son, Ryan Michael
Little, respectfully represents as follows:
1. Petitioner, Brenda M. Ray, an adult individual currently
residinq at 194 Conodoquinet Mobile Estates, Newville, Cumberland
County, Pennsylvania.
2. Petitioner is the natural mother of Ryan Michael Little,
who~e name chanqe is the subject of this Petition.
3. The natural father of Ryan Michael Little is Mark A.
Little, who currently resides at 254 South Railroad Avenue, New
Holland, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
4. Petitioner and Mark A. Little were divorced on September
6, 1991, and Mr. Little's surname appears of record on his son's
birth certificate.
5. On October 17, 1992, Petitioner was married to Melvin
Ray, Jr., and they have lived together since that time as husband
and wife.
6. Prior to their marriage, Petitioner and Melvin Ray, Jr.,
had cohabited since approximately April 1991.
7. Ryan Michael Little has lived with Petitioner and Melvin
Ray, Jr. since April 1991.
8. Although Ryan is aware that Mar.k A. Little is his
natural f.ather, he considers Melvin Ray, Jr. to be is "dad" and
has treated him as such since Petitioner and Melvin Ray, Jr. were
mOllrried.
9. Mark A. Little has made no effort to exercise his court
ordered visitation since July 1990, and has only occasionally
encountered h.is son, Ryan, at the home of Ryan's paternal
grandparents and other paternal family members, since that time.
10. Mark A. Little consents to the name change of his son,
Ryan, to Ryan Michael Ray. His consent is attached hereto and
.incorporated by reference as Exhibit "A".
11. Petitioner and Melvin Ray, Jr. currently have one child
of their marriage, Lucas W. Ray, who was born on September 4,
1994.

family order.

attorney for the Petitioner and presentation of proof of
publication of notice and proof of notice to the non-petitioning
parent, Mark A. Little, as required by law, together with proof
that there are no judgments or decrees of record or any other
matter of llke affect against the Petitioner, and it appearing
that there is no legal objection to the granting of the prayer of
the Petition.
It is ordered and decreed that the name of Petitioner's
natural son, Ryan Michael Little, is hereby changed to Ryan
Michael Ray.
