The parties are parents of two minor children: Cassandra A. Durnin, born July 24, 1993; and Micheli E. Durnin, born September 24, 1994, 3. The parties separated on or, about May 20, 1996 when, fearful for her safety, Petitioner left the marital home with the two children who have been In her custody. 4. Respondent, through counsel, has made it clear that he does not wish Petitioner to return to the marital home, nor does she wish to return, except to secure her personal property. 5. In order for Petitioner to establish a new residence for herself and her children, she has accepted as a credit against equitable distribution 52,500,00, She has requested, however, that she be provided a fair share of the household furnishings to set up housekeeping, but Respondent has refused to permit her to take the items requested, 6.
