a. On or nboul May 26, 1996, t.he defendant repeatedly
hit the plnlntlff wlt.h n wooden st.lck on her hend nnd
shoulder, poked her In the stomach and hack wit.h the
stick, pushed har onto n bed, hit her twice on the hend
with t~e stick cnuRing pain and a lnceratlon. When the
plaintiff t.rlad t.o block theRe blows to her head, the
dafendnnt hit. her hand cBlIslng her to hnve a bruised
and swollen finger. The defendant then grabbed the
plaintiff by her throat., pushed her back down onto the
bed, Bnd when the plaintiff struggled t.o get free, the
defendant released his grip. The defendant hit the
plaintiff in the face and refused to allow her to leave
for treatment of her wound which was bleeding
profusely. The defendant. told the plaintiff that If
she gave him $1,000.00, he would let her leave.
Fearing further abuse the plaintiff gave the defendant
the money and only then did he allow her to leave his
residence. Later, the plaintiff sought treatment at
the Gettysburg Hospital and had to have stitches.
b. In or about June 1995, the defendant grabbed the
plalnUff by hl"l' thl'ont, Ilft.ed hel' off of the ground,

slammed her against a wall, held her up off of the
ground by her neck, and then threw her onto a bed with
his hand still on h~r throat choking her. When the
defcndant released the plaintiff and she Attempted to
lelwP, th~ defendant got II gun out of a nIght stand,
loaded it, pointed It at tho plaintiff, and threatened
that If he couldn't hllvP hel', no one else could.
6. On or about May 26, 1996, the plaintiff left her
resl~ence at 148 N. Spring Gardon Street, Carlisle, Cumberland
County, Pennsylvania, In order t.o IIvoid further Abusc.
7. The plaintiff believes IInd therpfore averm that she is
in immediate and present danger of Abuse from the defendant and
that she Is in need of protection from such abuse.
8. The plaintiff de8lr~H that the defendant be prohibited
from having any direct or Indlrpct contact with the plaintiff
including, but not limited to, telephone and written
communications.
9. The plaintiff desires that the defendant be pnJoined
from harassing and stalking the plaintiff, and from harassing the
plaintiff's relatives.
10. The plaintiff desires that the defendant be restrained
from entering her plAce of employment.
11. The plaintiff desires thAt the defendant be enjoined
from removing, damaging, destroying or selling Any property owned
solely by the plaintiff.

The plaintiff, Suesan M. Milleman, by and through her
attorney, Joan Carey of Legal Services, Inc., states the

followi ng:
1. The plaintiff, SuesBn M. Milleman, and the defendant,
Anthony C. Mason, are in the process of reconciling their
d if terences.
2. Tha plaintiff desires that the defendant no longer be:
a. exclud~d from her current residence or any other
residence she may establish,
b. enjoined from having any direct or indirect
contact with her.
3. The plaintiff desires that all other provisions of the
Protaction From Abuse Order dated June 10, 1996, remain in
effect.
WHEREFORE, the plaintiff requests the following:
The portions of the Protection From Abuse Order dated June
