consideration of the within
Petition, and upon finding that the Plaintiff, Oonald M. Wood,
Jr., is in immediate and present danger of abuse from the
Defendant, Jonathan Ohnmeiss, the following temporary order is
entered.
1. The Defendant, Jonathan OhnmeisB, now employed by
Vartan Construction at Forum Place, 555 Walnut Street,
Harr1sburg, PA., Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, is hereby enjoined
from physically abusing or mentally abusing the Plaintiff, Donald
M. Wood, Jr., or placing him in fear of abuse.
2. The Defendant is ordered to refrain from having any
contact with the Plaintiff, including, but not limited to,
restraining the Defendant from entering the place of employment
of the Plaintiff and from harassing the Plaintiff.
3. This Order shall remain in effect until a final order
is entered in this case. A hearing shall be held on this matter

The cumberland County Sheriff's Office shall attempt to make
servioe at the Plaintiff's request, but servioe may be
aooomplished by any applioable Rule of Civil Prooedure.
The Pennsylvania State Polioe will be provided with a oopY of
this Order by the attorney for the Plaintiff. This Order shall
be enforoed by any law enforoement agenoy where a violation
ooours by arrest for indirect oriminal attempt without warrant
upon probable oause that his order has been violated, whether or
not the violation is oommitted in the presenoe of the polioe
offioer. In the event that an arrest is made under this Section,
the Defendant shall not be taken to jail but shall be taken
without unneoessary delay before the Court that issusd the Order.
When that Court is unavailable, the Defendant shall be arraigned
before a Distriot Justioe who shall set ball accordil)g to the
provisions of Chapter 4000 of the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal
Prooedure (35 P.S. 10190).

FOR RELIEF UNDER THE PROTECTION FROM ABUSE ACT

The Plaintiff is Donald M. Wood, Jr., an adult individual,
presently residing at 700 High Street, West Fairview, Cumberland
County, Pennsylvania.

The Defendant is Jonathan Ohnmeiss, an adult individual, whose last
known address was 2225 Orohard Road, Camp Hill, Cumberland County,
Pennsylvania.' The Defendant is currently employed by Vartan
Construotion at Forum Place, 555 Walnut Street, Harrisburg, PA.
'The Plaintiff believes that the Defendant no longer lives
at the above stated address, but does not know the Defendant's
ourrent address. The Plaintiff has made repeated inquiries to his
mother to determine the Defendant's address for purposes of this
petition, but has been rebuked and oonsiderations for the
Plaintiff's safety preolude him from making further inquiries
with his mother or other individuals.

The Defendant is the stepfather of the Plaintiff as he is married
to the Plaintiff's Mother, Doroas Y. Ohnmeiss, who had J.eqal
oustody of the Plaintiff until the Plaintiff's 18th birthday whioh
was on May 16, 1996.

In a series of inoidents beginning in the early spring of 1996, the
Defendant has physioally and mentally abused the Plaintiff.

Speoifioally, in February, 1996, the Defendant voioed his intent to
kill the Plaintiff, the Plaintiff's brother, Timothy Wood, and the
Plaintiff's father, Donald M. Wood, Sr.. These threats were made to
the Plaintiff's brother while in the presenoe of the Plaintiff's
Mother while returning from the Defendant's mother's residenoe in
Williams port .

On Maroh 22, 1996, the Defendant grabbed the Plaintiff and began
threatening the Plaintiff until the Defendant was restrained by a
Lower Allen Township Police Officer, who waB in the vioinity of the
altercation, but for the action of the Police Officer, the
Pl.aintiff fears much worse would have occurred.

In an effort to escape the abuse, the Plaintiff moved out of the
Defendant's residence on March, 22, 1996 and has attempted to
avoid confronting the Defendant.
A. Grant a temporary order pursuant to the "Proteotion from
Abuse Actl"
1. Requiring the Defendant to refrain from abusing the
Plaintiff or plaoing him in fear of abuse,
2. Requiring the nefendant to refrain from having any
contaot with the Plaintiff, including, but not limited to,
restraining the Defendant from entering the plaoe of employment
of the Plaintiff I
3. Ordering the Defendant to stay away from the Plaintiff's
residence and ordering the Defendant to stop harassing the
Plaintiff's minor br.other, Timothy Wood, and the Plaintiff's
natural father, Donald Wood, Sr.,
B. Schedule a hearing in accordance with the provisions of the
"Protection from Abuse Act", and, after such hearing, enter an
order to be in effect for a period of one yearl
1. Requiring the Defendant to refrain from abusing the
Plaintiff or placing him in fear of abuse I
2. Requiring the Defendant to refrain from having any
contact with the Plaintiff, including, but not limited to,
restraining the Defendant from entering the place of employment
of the Plaintiff,
3. Ordering the Defendant to stay away from the Plaintiff's
residence and ordering the Defendant to stop harassing the
Plaintiff's minor brother, Timothy Wood, and the Plaintiff's
natural father, Donald Wood, Sr..

The Plaintiffs Counsel filed a Petition for Continuance of the Hearing which was scheduled for
July II, 1996 and a request for an extension of the Temporary Protective Order of July I, 1996.
This Honorable Court, on July II, 1996, granted The Peti,ion for a Continuance and ordered a
hearing be held on the Petition for Protective Order on July 19, 19<)6 at200 P.M..

Since the issuance of the Order of July II, 1996, the Plaint in: through the Dauphin County
Sheriff's Department, has attempted to serve the Defendant with the Temporary Proteclive Order,
the Petition for Protective Order, and the Order of Continuance.

The Dauphin Coullly Sheriff's Department has attempted to serve the Defendant at his residence
at 25 South Fourth Street in Harrisburg and at his place of employment with the Vartan
Construction Company only to find that the Defendant has moved from this residence and has
been fired from this job.

Plaintiff's Counsel was informed by the Dauphin County Sherin's Department that the Defendant,
apparently aware that the Sheriff's Department was attempting to contact him, called the Dauphin
County Sheriff's Department and told them that he would come to the Sherin's Depal1mentto
accept service and also provided the Sherifl's Department with a phone number that the
Defendant purportedly could be reached al. The Defendant has yet to re-contactthe Dauphin
County Sherin's Department and the phone number provided by the Defendant has proved not to
be the His phone number
