COMPLAINT IN CIVIL ACTION TO OBTAIN
JUDGMENT ON A MECIIANICIS' LIEN
AND NOW COMES the Plaintiff, RONALD G. BAKER,, by and through his
attorney, Edgar R, Luhn III, Esquire, and files the within Complaint, of which the
following is a statement;
1. The Plaintiff' in the within action is Ronald G. Baker, of 866 Center
Road, Newville, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
2. The Defendant in the within action is Donald E. Slike, t/a/d/b/a
Convenience Distributors, Inc., of 1302 Slate Hill Road, P.O, Box 292, Camp Hill,
Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
3. Plaintiff is engaged in business as a masonry contractor and pursuant
to an agreement entered into by Plaintiff with Defendant Donald E. Slike, Plaintiff
performed contracting services in the nature of original construction brick and block
contracting with respect to a building erected on 98 Broad Street, Newvillo,
Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
4. On or about Marrh 26, 1996, Plaintiff, in his capacity as a contractor,
completed the work contracted for by Defendant Slike in a workmanlike, professional
manner.
b. Despite Plaintiffs proper completion of the work contracted, and
repeated demands by Plaintiff for payment, Plaintiff failed to receive any
compensation or payment for the work performed.
6. The amount due to Plaintiff for such work was FOUR THOUSAND TWO
HUNDRED FORTY-FIVE ($4,246.00) DOLLAR,9. Interest charges at the rate of one
and one-half percent (016) for the months of April, May, June and July of 1996 was
ONE HUNDRED NINETY-THREE AND 911100 ($193.91) DOLLARS.
7. On July 23, 1996, Plaintiff filed a Mechanics' Lion Claim against
Defendant Slike in the amount of FOUR THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY-
EIGHT AND 91/100 ($4,438.91) DOLLARS, at No. 96.4171 MLD, in the Court of
Common Pleas of Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. A copy of said Claim is
attached hereto, made part hereof and marked Exhibit "A",
8. Plaintiff caused timely and proper service of the Notice of the fling of
said Mechanics' Lien Claim to Defendant Slike and a copy of the Affidavit of Service,
as fled with the Court, is attached hereto, made part hereof, and marked Exhibit "D".
WHEREFORE, Plaintiff demands judgment against Defendant in the sum of
FOUR THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY-EIGHT AND 91/100 ($4,438.91)
DOLLARS, plus interest and costs of suit.

appurtenant thereto for the payment of a debt due RONALD 0. BAKER. The
following is a statement of the clahn of RONALD 0, 13MR11.
1, The mane of the Claimant is Ronald G. Baker, a masonry contractor,
with his principal office tit 855 Center Rood, Newville Pennsylvania Lind he files this
claim as a contractor,
2, The names and address of the Owners or Reputed Owners at the time
of furnishing the labor, goods, masonry materials and the removal of an existing
doorway and replacement of damaged brick wall, and the attaching of the lien
therefor are:
a. Donald E. Slike, P.O, Box 292, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, 17001.0292.
b. Convenience Distributors, Inc., P,O, Box 292, 1302 Slate HUI Road,
Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, 17011.0000,
3, The Claimant contracted with the Donald E, Slike pursuant to a written
contract, to supply labor, goods, materials Lind to replace the front entrance and
repair the brick wall attached to structure described in paragraph 7 heroin, A true

forth in Exhibit "A" was $4,216,00.

building on the piece of ground with cw•tilage appurtenant thereto, constituting the
preulised subject to the lien, sittutte tit 98 Bread Street, Newville, County of
Cumberland, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
9. This lien its clainned against the fee simple interest of the Owners or
Reputed Owners in the aforesaid premises.

described in the amount of 64,438,91 plus interest on said suns from March 26, 1996,

JUDGMENT ON A MECHANICS' LIEN
AND NOW COMES the Plaintiff, RONALD G. BAKER, by and through his
attorney, Edgar R. Luhn III, Esquire, and files the within Complaint, of which the
following is a statement,
1. The Plaintiff in the within action is Ronald G, Baker, of 865 Center
Road, Newville, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
2. The Defendant in the within action is Donald E. Slike, t/a/d/b/a/
Convenience Diatributors, Inc., of 1302 Slate Hill Road, P,0. Box 292, Camp Hill,
Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
3. Plaintiff is engaged in business as a masonry contractor and, pursuant
to an agreement entered into by Plaintiff with Defendant Donald E. Slike, Plaintiff
performed contracting services in the nature of original construction brick and block
contracting with respect to a building erected on 98 Broad Street, Newville,
Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
4. On or about Marcy 26, 1996, Plaintiff, in his capacity as a contractor,
completed the work contracted for by Defendant Slike in a workmanlike, professional
manner.
6. Despite Plaintiffs proper completion of the work contracted, and
repeated demands by Plaintiff for payment, Plaintiff failed to receive any
compensation or payment for the work performed.
6. The amount due to Plaintiff for such work was FOUR THOUSAND TWO
HUNDRED FORTY-FIVE ($,246.00) DOLLARS. Interest charges at the rata of one
and one-half percent (.016) for the months of April, May, June and July of 1996 was
ONE HUNDRED NINETY-THREE AND 91/100 ($193.91) DOLLARS.
7. On July 23, 1996, Plaintiff filed u Mechanics' Lien Claim against
Defendant Slike in the amount of FOUR THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY-
EIGHT AND 9V100 ($4,438.91) DOLLARS, at No. 96-4171 MLD, in the Court of
Common Pleas of Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. A copy of said Claim is
attached hereto, made part hereof and marked Exhibit "A".
8. Plaintiff caused timely and proper service of the Notice of the filing of
said Mechanics' Lien Claim to made upon Defendant Slike and a copy of those
Affidavits of Service, as filed with the Court, are attached hereto, made part hereof,
and market Exhibit "B".
WHEREFORE, Plaintiff demands judgment against Defendant in the sum of
FOUR THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY-EIGHT AND 91/100 04,438.91)
DOLLARS, plus interest and costs of suit.
