ettorney Anthony L. PeLuca, The Detendant, Raymond L, Kann, has
appeared today on his own behalf and has indioated that he does
not intend to employ counsel to reprosent him in the.e
proce.dings. Mr. PeLuca tlled a pre-trial statem~nt on February
6, 1998, in I\lJcordonee wlth the MlIster's dlrectlve, Mr. Konn has
not flled a pre-trlal statement, Mr. DeLuca, however, has
indicated that he is not, at thls time, going to raise a motlon
with the Court tor sanctlons against Mr. Knnn, ^p~arently Mr.
DeLUca's intention is to try to get the intormatlon voluntarlly
.0 that we con mOVe this case to resolutlon without nsklng the
Court to prohlblt Mr. Kann's participatlon ln the evidentlary
part ot these proceedings.
The porties were married on December 27, 19110, nnd
separated July 22, 1996. They ore the nntural parents at two
ohildren. steven ls nge 17 and he currently resldes with the
mother. The other child, Jennlter, age 15, currently resldes
with the wife's sister. Mr, Kann i~ paylng child support to
wife tor the two children in the amount of $699.96.
The divorce complalnt was flled on August 29, 1996,
rniling grounds tor divorce of irretrievable breakdown at the
mnrriage and lndlgnities. No economlc claims were rnlsed in
the oomplnint. On Jnnuary 7, 1999, an amended complaint was
tiled raising in addition the economic issue at equitable
distribution. There have boon no claims ralsed for nllmony or
coun.el tees and expenses.
After discussion with Mr. DeLuca and Mr. Knnn
today, it is understood that the partlcs will sign nnd fila
nttidnvits at consent and waivers of notice ot intentlon to
request entry at divorce decree prio~ to the hearing to be
scheduled in these proceedings.
