A MINOR'S ACTION TO: THE HONORABLE JUDGES OF THE COURT OF COMMON PLEAS FOR CUMBERLAND COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA: AND NOW, comes the Petitioner, Gloria L. Riggleman, a Minor, by and through her parent and natural guardian, Belinda L. Riggleman, who respectfully states the following: 1. Belinda L. Riggleman is the parent and natural guardian of Gloria L. Riggleman, a minor, who reside at 446 West Main Street, Walnut Bottom, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania 17266. 2. On or about June 6, 1998, the minor Petitioner was a passenger in an automobile operated by Defendant. 3. The accident occurred on State Route 997, in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. - ~>" <' ~--'\ ,^ . " ,', ~ < -" " '. "'; ^^' d r .. .. 4. As a result of this accident, the minor Plaintiff alleges that she has suffered personal injuries. The personal injuries allegedly sustained include: a bruised left kidney, lacerations to her right knee, right fingers and right elbow. There also is a scar on the right elbow. 5. Defendant, while denying liability for any injuries to the minor Plaintiff, has offered to compromise this claim. 6. Defendant's insurance carrier will offer a payment of$7,500.00 payable upon approval of this settlement. A payment of $12,500.00 will be placed in an annuity which will bring a guaranteed payout of $13,315.00 on Apri12, 2001, when the minor Petitionerreaches the age of 18. 7. The Petitioners have reviewed the proposed settlement and believe the settlement to be fair, just and equitable, as well as in the best interest of Gloria Riggleman. 8. The Petitioner has not been represented by counsel, thus, there will be no attorney's fees or costs removed from the settlement amount. Defendant concurs in the Petitioner's request for Court approval of the settlement. WHEREFORE, Petitioner respectfully requests that this Honorable Court enter and Order approving the foregoing compromise settlement of the claim of the minor Plaintiff.
