COMPLAINT
NOW comes the plaintiff, by her attorney, Harold S. Irwin, III, Esquire, and files
this complaint, representing as follows:
1, The plaintiff is Pauline E, Barrick, an adult individual residing at 275A East
Pomfret Street, Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania 17013,
2. The defendant is Marilyn A. Barrick, an adult individual residing at 511
Conodoguinet Avenue, Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania 17013,
3, On March 8, 1997, plaintiff loaned to the defendant the sum of $1 ,500,00.
This money was in addition to $2,500,00 which plaintiff had previously loaned to
defendant, but which defendant had repaid. A copy of defendant's "1.0,U," for
$4,000,00, showing a payment of $2,500.00, is incorporated herein by reference and
attached hereto as Exhibit "A". Copies of the money orders representing the second
loan are incorporated herein by reference and attached hereto as Exhibit "B".
4, These loans were made by the plaintiff to the defendant at defendant's
specific request.

5. In 1998, defendant made a payment of $270.00 on the second loan,
leaving a balance of a balance of $1 ,230,00 due and owing to plaintiff.
6. Despite repeated requests by the plaintiff that defendant repay this loan,
the defendant has failed and refused to make any additional payments and continues so
to refuse.
WHEREFORE, plaintiff demands judgment against defendant in the sum of
Twelve Hundred Thirty and no/100 ($1,230.00) Dollars, plus cost of this action.
