Plaintiff, MARTSON DEARDORFF WILLIAMS & OTTO, is a Pennsylvania professional corporation with its principal place of business at 10 East High Street, Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania 17013. 2. Defendants, Steven Shughart and Linda Bittinger, are adult individuals residing at 116 Pine Knob Road, Upper Mifflin Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania 17241. 3. Plaintiff, MARTSON DEARDORFF WILLIAMS & OTTO, has provided professional legal services to Defendants from on or about April 27, 1998 to on or about January 5, 2000. A copy of the engagement letter is attached hereto as Exhibit "A." 4. Plaintiff has billed Defendants for these various professional services rendered on their behalf in the amount of $2,257.78. 5. Defendants have paid a total 0f$210.00 for these services. 6. The outstanding balance of $2.047.78 represents the reasonable and necessary value of the services provided to the Defendants for which the Defendants have yet to pay. A copy of the printout summary is attached hereto as Exhibit "B.' 7. Despite repeated demands for payment, Defendants have not paid the outstanding balance of $2,047.78. COUNT I BREACH OF CONTRACT FOR PROVIDING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES 8. Plaintiff hereby incorporates by reference the averments contained in paragraphs 1 through 7 of this Complaint. 9. Defendants have breached an expressed or implied agreement to pay the reasonable value of the professional services rendered. WHEREFORE, Plaintiff demands judgment against Defendants in the amount of $2,047.78 plus pre-judgment and post-judgment interest and costs. COUNT H .QUANTUM MERUIT 10. Plaintiff hereby incorporates by reference the averments contained in paragraphs 1 through 9 of this Complaint. 11. The Defendants are liable to the Plaintiff and/or has been unjustly enriched in the amount of $2,047.78 plus pre-judgment and post-judgment interest and costs.
