MECHANIC'S LIEN CLAIM
Claimant, NORTHEASTERN HOME IMPROVEMENTS OF HARRISBURG,
INC., through the undersigned counsel, files this claim against
the improvements at 1915 Lenox Street, Camp Hill, Cumberland
County, Pennsylvania, for the payment of a debt due Claimant, as
a contractor, for labor and materials furnished by Claimant for
remodeling and improvements to the house on the premises. In
support of the claim the Claimant makes the following statement:
1. The owners of the property are Gerald C. Shankle, Jr.
and Patricia A. Shankle, with an address at 1915 Lenox Street,
Camp Hill, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
2. The improvements and the property which are subject to
this claim are a dwelling and appurtenant land at 1915 Lenox
Street, Camp Hill, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
3. The labor and material for which the debt is due were
furnished for an agreed sum pursuant to a contract and numerous
written and verbal change orders with the owners, copies of
which are attached hereto, marked Exhibit ~A" and incorporated
herein by reference, of which $49,135.05 is due.

4. The labor for which the debt is due consists of adding
a second story to the existing home, building a two-story
addition to the home and numerous other related matters. The
labor and materials were a substantial addition to the existing
structure.
5. Claimant completed its work to the extent permitted by
Owners at the property on or about April 18, 2000, which is less
than four (4) months before the filing of this claim.
There is due and owing a balance of $49,135.05 and claim is made
therefor.

PROPOSAL FOR GERALD AND PATRICIA SHANKLE
ADDITION 14' X 16'.
1. EXCAVATE 14'xI6'AREA STEMMING FROM THE KITCHEN AREA.
2. DIG FOOTER TRENCHES 8-12 INCHES AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE
OUTSIDE WALLS.
3. WE WILL SET EACH AND EVERY FORM INSIDE OF THE TRENCHES SO WE ARE
PREPARED TO POUR FOOTERS,
4. APPLY APPROXIMA TEL Y 4 INCHES OF 2B STONE SIZE INSIDE ALL FORMS, OR
TO CODE.
5. SUSPEND ALL SUPPORT REINFORCEMENT BAR INSIDE FORMS THAT TfE IN
WITH EXISTING BLOCK OR STONE FOUNDATION.
6. WE WILL THEN POUR OUR FREEZE RESISTANT CONCRETE INTO ALL FORMS.
CONCRETE WILL BE 3500LB PER SQARE INCH FINISHED CONCRETE
FOUNDATION, AND WILL BE MIXED ON THE JOB SITE,
7. INSTALL THREE TO FOUR COURSES OF TEN INCH CONCRETE BLOCK.
8. STARTING AT THE CORNERS ALL BLOCK CORNERS WILL CONSIST OF
REINFORCEMENT BARS TIED INTO FOOTER EVERY FIVE FEET ON A RUN.
9. BACK FILL THE REINFORCEMENT BAR WITH CEMENT TO ENSURE A STRONG
AND STABLE FOUNDATION.
10. INSTALL A PRESSURE TREATED MUDSILL THAT WILL BOLT INTO THE
CONCRETE BLOCK.
11. LOCATE THE CENTER OF THE ENTIRE ADDlTION AND DIG A FOOTER
APPROXIMATELY 8-12 INCHES.
12, ON TOP OF THIS FOOTER WE WILL INSTALL A CONCRETE PlER FORMED ON
SITE TO JOB SPEClFICA TIONS,
13, INSTALL ON TOP OF THE PIER A PRESSURE TREATED POST TO SUPPORT THE
GIRDER.
14. INSTALL A GIRDER WIDTH WISE ON TOP OF THE POST AND SECURE AT EACH
END WITH LAG BOLTS,
15, WE WILL INSTALL A COMPLETE LEDGER BOARD INTO THE RIM JOIST OF
EXISTING HOME.
16, INSTALL JOIST HANGERS MADE OF HEAVY GAUGE ALUMINUM OR
GAL V ANlZED STEEL,
17, INSTALL A 6 MIL THICK POLYURETHANE PLASTIC BARRlER AND A COATING
OF 2B STONE TO PREVENT THE MOISTURE FROM RISING INTO ADDITION,
18. INSTALL A RlM JOIST AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE NEW FOUNDA nON
NAILED INTO MUDSILL WITH GALVANIZED 16D NAlLS,
19, INSTALL FLOOR JOISTS 16 INCHES ON CENTER TO TIlE GIRDER THAT RUNS
DOWN THE CENTER OF TIlE FOUNDATION.
20. A BLOCKING IS FASTENED TO EACH AND EVERY FLOOR JOIST TO ENSURE THE
STABILITY OF THE ADDITION,
21. FLOOR JOISTS WILL FASTEN TO THE RIM JOIST ON THE OUTSIDE OT THE
HOME.
