Plaintiffs Connie A. Carpenter and David L. Carpenter, husband and wife, are adult individuals residing at 907 Magnolia Drive, Enola, Cwnberland County, Pennsylvania. 2. Defendant Michael S. Davis is an adult individual residing at 633 Whiskey Spring Road, Boiling Springs, Cwnberland County, Pennsylvania. 3. On or about July 15, 1998, Plaintiff was driving her 1996 Pontiac Grand Am in an easterly direction on the Wertzville Road in Hampden Township, Cwnberland County, Pennsylvania, at its intersection with Orrs Bridge Road. 4. At the aforementioned time and place, Defendant Michael S. Davis was driving his 1988 Toyota Celica in a westerly direction on the Wertzville Road. 5. At the intersection in question, Defendant turned his vehicle left in front of the Plaintiff Connie Carpenter, causing the two vehicles to collide violently, and causing Plaintiff Connie Carpenter to sustain serious and permanent bodily injuries, as hereinafter described. 6. The actions of the Defendant were negligent in that he: a. Failed to yield the right of way; b. Violated Section 3322 of the Motor Vehicle Code concerning left turns; - 3 - '-. ,- ,- "'- - ,--,.".~,', :.__'C '_'. , , "..-m 5779-1-8 ' c. Failed to keep an adequate lookout on the roadway; and d. Failed to stop his vehicle so as to avoid a collision. 7. As a result of Defendant's negligence, Plaintiff Connie A. Carpenter sustained serious bodily injuries, including, but not limited to the following: a. Low back pain b. Right lower extremity pain c. Numbness and tingling in right leg d. Neck pain e. Bruises of the chin, neck, anus and chest 8. As a further result of Defendant's negligence, Plaintiff Connie A. Carpenter sustained the following damages, some or all of which may be permanent in nature: a. Loss of income; b. Unreimbursed medical expenses; c. Pain and suffering; and d. Loss oflife's pleasures. 9. As a further result of Defendant's negligence, Plaintiff David L. Carpenter has suffered a loss of his wife's society and companionship. 10.
