On September 28, 1994, Pennsylvania Department of Revenue granted an extension within which tD file the Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax Return until May 10, 1995. A copy of the Department of Revenue's extension letter dated September 28, 1994 is attached. This date, the Estate is filing the Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax Return, but the Estate is not paying the tax due. Separate written notice is being provided to John C. Murphy, at the Department of Revenue's Inheritance Tax Division, notifying them that every effort is being made to pay the appropriate inheritance tax. My purpose in writing to you at this time is to notify the Register of Wills that it is not the intention of the Estate to avoid payment of the Pennsylvania inheritance tax. At this time, the Estate does not have sufficient cash funds to pay the tax due.
