ALAN J. BLANCHARD
, I, Alan J. Blanchard, married man, of 23 Strawberry Drive, Carlisle (South Middleton
Township), Cumberlnnd County, Pennsylvania, being of sound and disposing mind, memory, and
understandln~, do hereby make, publish, and declnre this as nnd for my Lnst Will and Testament,
hereby revokmg and mnking void any and all Wills by me atnny time heretofore made.
I, I direct my hereinafter named Executrix or Exccutor to pay all of my just debts and
funeml expcnses as soon after my dcath ns may be found convenient to do so,
2, I declnre that I am currently married to Dorothy M. Blanchard, I further declarc thnt I
hnve two (2) children who are n son, Alan F, Blnnchard and a dnughtcr, Dana L. Blnnchard.
3. All the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, real, personal, or mixed, and
wheresoever the same may be situate, I givc, devise, and bequeath to my wife, Dorothy M.
Blanchard, pl'Ovided she shall survive mf: by a period of nincty (90) days,
Should my wife predecease me or fail to survive me by the aforesaid period of ninety (90)
days, then in such event I give, devise, and bequeath all the rcst, residue, and remainder of my
estate as follows:
a, One quarter (1/4) of the residuc to my son Alan F, Blanchard.
b, One quarter (1/4) of the residue to be divided in equal shares among my
wife's nephews, Eric Steckel, Frederick Steckel, and Paul Steckel, and my wife's
first cousm once removed, Nancy M, Mayer. Should any of my wife's nephews
predecease me or fail to survive me by n period of ninety (90) days, then the share
that person would have received shall pass to his issue per stirpes, and if there be no
issue such share shall lapse and be added to the remaining share or shares per
stirpes, Should the said Nancy M. Mayer predecease me or fail to survive me by a
period of ninety (90) days, then the share that she would have re~eived shall not
pass to her issue, but such share shall lapse and be added to the remaining share or
shares of my wife's nephews or thcir heirs, per stirpes,
c, One half (1/2) of the residue to the Fanners Tntst Company, 1 West High
Street, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, its succe~sors and assigns, in trust, for the benefit of
my daughter, Dana L, Blanchard, to receive and invest the same, and to par the
income arising therefrom, together with so much of the principal thereof as In its
opinion is necessary or desirable to be expended for the propel' maintenance and
support of my said daughter. Mr Trustee is authorized in its sole discretion to make
payments of income and any principal to the individual or institution, if such there
be, providing my daughter with maintenance, medical care, and other necessary
attcntions, or It may make such payments directly to my daughter,
The above provision is made because of the disability of my daughter's
mentality caused by encephalitis, and it is my intention that the Tntstee be allowed
latitude in the application of the funds availuble for the maintenance of my daughter.
This tnlst for my daughter shall tenninllle upon thc dcath of my daughter and the
then remaining corpus plus any accrucd interest shall be distributcd in equal shares
to my wife's nephews and first cousin once removed in the same manner as set
fOl1h in subparagraph b, above,
Should none of the above-namcd nephews of my wife, nor any lineal
descendants of any of the above, named nephews, nor the aforesaid Nancy M.
Mayer survive my daughter, then in such event, I give, devise, anti bequeath the
then remaining corpus plus any accrucd intcrest of the Tntst to the Cumberland-
Perry Association for Retarded Citizens,
4, Should my said wife, Dorothy M, Blanchard, predecease me, I hercby appoint my
wife's nephew, Paul H, Steckel of Slatinglon, Pennsylvania, as guardian of the person of my
daughter, Dana L. Blanchard,
5, Should any person less thlln 18 years of agc be entitled to II distribution frol11my estllte,
in such event the share that person would otherwi!;e have received shllH be paid to the Fllnncrs
Trust Company, 1 West High Strcet, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, in trust, to receive and invest the
same, and to pay the income arising therefrom. together with so much of the principal thereof as in
its opinion is necessary or deslrnble to be expended for the proper maintcnance, supporl, and
education of such person, to or for the benefit of such person, and upon slwh person attaining 1 R
years of age to pay to him or her the then rcmalnlng principal together with llny undistributed
income,

6. In addition to the powers conferred by law, my herein named Executors and Trustees
are empowered:
a. To Invest any part of the trust corpus in such securities, investments, or other
property as may be deemed advisable and proper, irrespective of whether the same
are authorized for the investment of trust funds unde.. the laws of any governing
jurisdiction,
b. With respect to any corporation, the stocks, bonds, or other securities of
which may be held, to vote in person or by proxy on any shares of stock; to consent
to the merger, consolidation or reorganization of such corporations; to consent to the
leasing, mortgaging, or sale of the property of any such corporations; to make any
surrender, exchange or substitution of such stocks, bonds, or other securities as an
incident to the merger, consolidation or reorganization of such corporations; to pay
all as~essments, subscriptions and other sums of money which may be deemed wise
and expedient for the protection and maintenance of the proportionate interest of the
investment in such corporations; to exercise any option or privilege which may be
conferred upon the holders of such stocks, bonds, or other securities of such
corporations either for the conversion of the same into other securities or for the
purchase of additional securities, and to make any and all necessary payments which
may be required in connection therewith; and generally to have and exercise as to all
such stocks, bonds, and other securities, the powers of an individual owner who is
under trust obligation,
c. To hold the trust corpus in one or more consolidnted funds in which separate
shares shall have undivided interests.
d. To sell at public or private snle for cash or upon credit, or partly for cash and
partly on credit, and upon such terms and conditions as shnll be deemed proper, any
part or parts of the trust estate, nnd no purchaser at any such salc shull be bound to
Inquire into the expediency or propriety of any such snle or to see to the application
of the purchase money arising therefrom,
e. To keep on hand and uninvested such moneys as mny be deemed proper and
for such period as may be found expedient.
f, To compromise, settle, or nrbltrute any claim or demand in favor of or against
the trust estate.
g. And authorized in the dischnrge of fiducinry duties, to employ counsel and to
detennine and to pay such counsel reasonable compensation which shall be churged
against the principal or income of the trust fund, and shall further be entitled to
churge against the princlpnl or income such other reasonable expenses and churges
as may be necessary and proper to incur for ht e proper dischurge of fiduciary duties
and for the proper management and administration of the trust estate,
h. In making any division of property into shares for the purpose of any
distribution thereof directed by the provisions of the trust, to make such division or
distribution, either in cash or in kind, or partir in cash and partir in kind, as shall be
deemed most expedient, and in making any dIvision or distribution in kind may ullot
any specific security or property or any undivided interest therein to anyone or
more of such shares, and to that end mny appraise any or all of the property so to be
allotted and the judgment as to the propriety of such allotment and as to the relative
value for purposes of distribution of the securities or property so allotted shall be
finul and conclusive upon all persons interested In the trust or in the division or
dlstrl butlon thercof.
7. J hereby nominnte, constitute, and appoint my wife, Dorothy M. Blanchard, as
Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament, but should she predecease me or fall to qualify, then
In such event I nominate, constitute, and nppolnt my wife's nephew, Paul H, Steckel of Slatlngton,
Pennsylvania, as Executor, but should he predecease me or fnllto qualify, then In such event J
nominate, constitute, lInd appoint Farmcrs Trust Company, 1 West High Street, Cnrllsle,
Pennsylvania 17013, as Executor, and J further direct that 1I0ne of them shall be required to post
any bond to secure the faithful performance of his, her, or its duties in the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania or in any other jurisdiction.
