I, RUTH B. DOWLING, of Harrisburg, Dauphin County,
PennsYlvania, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do
make, publish and deolare this to be my Last Will and Testament,
hereby revoking all Wills and Codicils by me at any time
previously made.
~J: All inheritance, estate and
similar taxes beooming due by reason of my death ("Death Taxes"),
whether suoh Death Taxes shall be payable by my estate or by any
recipiont of any property, shall be paid by my Executor out of the
property passing under ITEM V of this Will as an expense and cost
of administration of my estate. My Executor shall have no duty or
obligation to obtain reimbursement for any Death Taxes paid by my
Executor, even though paid with respect to proceeds of insurdnoe
or other property not paSsing under this Will.
ITEM Il: I hereby exercise all powers of
appointment whioh I may have at the time of my death in favor of
my Exeoutor, and all property subject to all suoh powers of
appointment shall be included in my estate and be governed by the
provisions of this Will.

ITEM III:
I give and bequeatn all of my
household furniture and furnishings, books, piotures, jewelry,
ohina, orystal, applianoes, silverware, wearing apparel and all
other like artioles of household or personal use or adornment
(exoluding the pictures and automobile disposed of under ITEM IV
below) to SAMYUKTHA LEISENRING, if she survives me. If SAMYUKTHA
LEISENRING does not survive me, such artioles shall be sold and
the prooeeds thereof shall pass as a part of my residuary estate.
ITEM IV:
I hereby make the following
bequests:
(a) In aocordance with the wish and
direotion of my beloved husband, Huette F.
Dowling, as expressed to me in conversation
during his lifetime to the effect that he
would like to provide funds for the education
of a priest, I hereby give and bequeath the
sum of TWENTY THOUSAND DOl,LARS ($20,000.00) to
THE BISHOP OF THE CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF
HARRISBURG, for the purpose of establishing a
Scholarship Fund, the inoome from which Fund
shall be used towards the cost of the
eduoation of priests. I direot that the name
of suoh Scholarship shall be liThe Huette F.
Dowling Scholarshipll, and the recipient or
recipients of the said Scholarship or
Scholarships, shall be residents of the
Diooese of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and shall
be designated by the said Bishop of the
Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg on whatever
basis and in suah manner as he deems
advisable.
(b) I give and bequeath the sum of FIVE
HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00) to the PASTOR OF
SAINT PATRICK CATHEDRAL of HarriSburg,

of in the preoeding portions of this Will, to my sister, GERTRUDE
N. BOWMAN, if she survives mel or if she does not survive me/ to
SAMVUKTHA LEISENRING, if she survives me. If neither GERTRUDE N.
BOWMAN nor SAMVUKTHA LEISENRING survives me/ I give my residuary
estate as follows:
(a) TWENTV PERCENT (20%) of said residue
to SAINT PATRICK CATHEDRAL, State Street,
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
(b) EIGHTY PERCENT (80%) of said residue
to THE BISHOP OF THE CATHOI,IC DIOCESE OF
HARRISBURG, to be added to the fund
established under ITEM IV(a) hereof for the
purposes therein defined.
ITEM VI:
No interest in inoome or prinoipal
of my estate or any trust oreated hereunder shall be subjeot to
attaohment, levy or seizure by any creditor, spouse/ assignee or
trustee or reoeiver in bankruptoy of any benefioiary of my estate
or of any trust oreated hereunder prior to the benefioiary's
aotual reoeipt thereof. My Exeoutor or Trustee shall pay over the
net income and the principal to the beneficiaries herein
designated, as their interests may appear, without regard to any
attempted anticipation (except ns may be speoi.fically provided
herdn), pledging or assignment by any beneficiary of my estate or
of any trust oreated hereunder and without regard to any olaim

thereto or attempted levy, attaohment, seizure or other process
against said beneficiary.
I'l'EM VII:
Any person, who shall have died at
the same time as I or under such circumstances that it is
difficult or impossible to determine who shall have died first,
shall be deemed to have predeceased me. Any person other than me
who Yha1l have died at the same time as any then beneficiary of
income of my estate or under such circumstances that it is
difficult or impossible to determine who shall have died first,
shall be deemed to have predeceased such beneficiary.
ITEM VIII:
In the settlement of my estate, my
Exeoutor and Trustee shall possess, among others, the following
powers to be exercised for the best interests of the
beneficiaries:
(a) To retain any investments r may have
at my death so long as my Executor or Trustee
may deem it advisable to my eBtate so to do.
(b) To vary investments, when deemed
desirable by my Executor or Trustee, and to
invest in such bonds, stocks, notes, real
estate mortgages or other securities or in
such other real or personal property as my
Executor or Trustee shall deem wise, without
being restricted to So-called "legal
investments" .
(c) In order to effect a division of the
principal of my estate or for any other
purpose, inclUding any final distribution of
my estate, my Executor or Trustee is

(g) To hold investments in the name of a
nominee.
(h) To compromise controversies.
ITEM..IX: If at any time any minor shall be
entitled to receive any assets free of trust by reason of my
~eath, whether payable hereunder, by operation of law or
othelwise, I appoint my Executor as Guardian of such assets
authorized by law payable to such minor. The Guardian may
receive, administer and shall have full authority to use such
assets, both principal and income, in any manner the Guardian
shall deem advisable for the best interests of the minor,
includitlg high school, college, university, graduate or other
education, without securing a court or.der. The Guardian shall
have all the rights and privileges in its capacity as Guardian as
are herein granted to my Executor and Trustee as to my estate and
any trusts created hereunder.
ITEM X:
I hereby appoint SAMYUKTHA LEISENRING,
and my nephew, JOHN C. DOWLING, as Co-Executors of this Will. If
for any reason either should fail or cease to act, the survivor
shall act with the powers given to both. All references in this
Will to my "Executor" shall also refer to my Co-Executors, as the
case may be.
