The dec~dent, Edith M. Jacobs, died teetate on May 10, 1994. At
the time of her death, the decedent. wae ninety-eight years old. She
was a resident of the Leader. Nursing 1I0me, Camp Hill, Cumberland
County, Pennsylvania, when she died.
Decedent's Last Will was execut.ed on February 21, 1974. Many of
its provisions have been alter~d by the passage of twenty years. The
following legatees named In the Will have predeceased the Decedent:
the Decedent's son, Edward J. Kirkland; the Decedent's daughter-in-
law, Marguerite Kirkland; the Decedent's brother, Nelson w.
Kimberling, Sr.,; the Decedent's brother, George W, Kimberling; and
the daughter of Decedent's husband, Dorothy Moore.
A legates identified in the Will as the Decedent's granddaughter,
patricia Pigeon, is now known by marriage as patricia Pigeon Corkle.
The remaining legatees named in Decedent's will have survived her
death, and they have been identified and located,
The specific bequests of tangible personal property contained in
Paragraph 2 and 3 of Decedent'e Will have been adeemed.
According to the within iirst and final account, your accountant
has on hand for distribution the sum of $901.28. This is an
insufficient amount to pay the specific cash bequests set forth in
Items IV, V, VI, VII, and VIII of Decedent's Will. In order to fully
fund those specific bequests, the amount of $2750.00 would be
required. SInce all of t.he specifIc bequests are of equal priority,
your accountant proposes a distribution of the remaining funds by
applying a ratio to each sped fie bequest. The rat.io is determined by
dividing the funds on hand for distribution by the total amount
required to fund the specific bequests in full, This ratio is 32.77
percent. Distribution to the fOllowing persons or organizations in
the following amounts are proposed.
