NOW THEREFORE, THIS AGREEMENT WITNESSETH: That thc said Contractor, for and in
consideration of the sum of Onc Dollar ($1,00) to and in hand paid by Owncr, thc rcccipt
whcreof is hereby acknowlcdgcd, and the furthcr consideration mcntioncd in the Agrcement
aforesaid, for thcmselves and their subcontractors, and all partics acting through or under them,
covenant and agree that no mechanic's liens or claims shall bc filcd or maintained by thcm or any
of them against the said buildings and the lot of ground appurtenant thcreto for or on account of
any work donc or materials furnished by thcm or any of them undcr said contract or otherwise,
for, towards. in, or about the erection and construction ofthc said buildings on thc lot above
described and the said Contractor, for thcmsclvcs, thcir subcontractors and othcrs under thcm
hereby expressly waive and relinquish thc right to havc, filc, and maintain any mcchanic's liens
or claims against the said buildings or any of thcm, and agree that this instrument, waiving the
right oflien. shall be an independent covcnant.
