Dori Lee Beard is an adult individual residing at 914B Joyce Lane, Hummelstown, Pennsylvania 17036. 6. Dori Lee Beard received an Associate in Arts degree in Police Science from Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) in 19B6 and successfully completed Police Recruit School at HACC in 19B7 as evidenced by the Certificates attached hereto as Exhibit "B". 7. The Humane Society has appointed Edward M. Shore and Dori Lee Beard to act as animal cruelty investigators and Humane Society Police Officers as such are defined by the Act, B, Under the Act, the petitioner must provide the court with documentation evidencing that each prospective appointee has completed a training program established by a land grant institution. 9. The Law Enforcement Training Institute, University of Missouri Columbia School of Law/Extension Division, has established a program for the training of Humane Society Police as prescribed by the Act at 3 Pa.C.S. ~4S6.4(c). 10. As evidenced by the Certificates of Completion attached hereto as Exhibit "C", Edward M. Shore and Dori Lee Beard attended and successfully completed a Pennsylvania Humane Police Officer training program offered by the University of Missouri - Columbia School of Law from June 17 through June 20, 1996, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 11. The College of Agricultural Sciences of The Pennsylvania State University, a land grant institution, (hereinafter "Penn State"), has established a program for the training of humane society police officers as prescribed by the Act at 3 Pa.C.S. !i456.4(c). 12. As evidenced by the Certificates of Completion attached hereto as Exhibit "0", Edward M. Shore and Dori Lee Beard have completed the training program offered by Penn State in Greenburg, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, from September 30 through October 3, 1996. 13. The Act further prescribes at 3 Pa.C.S. !i456.4(c) that the petition must attach to any such application for the appointment of Humane Society Police Officers, a criminal history record of the Pennsylvania State Police, and such reports are attached hereto as Exhibit "E". 14. The proposed appointees shall not carry, possess or use a firearm in the performance of their duties. 15. By Order of the Honorable Todd A. Hoover dated February 18, 1997, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "F", the Petitioners were appointed as Humane Society Police Officers in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. 16. As evidenced by the oaths of office attached hereto as Exhibit "F", on February 1B, 1997, Edward M. Shore and Dori Lee Beard were sworn in as Humane Society Police Officers in Dauphin County. 17.
