PBTITION FOR SETTLEMENT OF A SMALL ESTATE
To the Honorable Judges of Said Court:
1. Your petitioner is Marjorie M. Kitchen, sister of Richard L.
Kitchen, deceased, who was named by Richard L. Kitchen as the Executrix
of his estate in his last will and testament dated March 19, 1977, a
copy of which is attached hereto as "Exhibit A".
2. At the time of his death, decedent resided with his sister,
Marjorie M. Kitchen, petition herein, and his mother, Clara L. Kitchen
at 3449 Walnut street, camp Hill, Cumberland county, Pennsylvania 17011
3. Because the decedent's assets do not exceed Ten Thousand
Dollars ($10,000.00), your peti~ioner wishes to avoid the expense of
probate by filing this petition.
4. The names, addresses and relationships of all persons having
an interest in the estate of the decedent as heirs or as next of kin are
as follows:

5. At the time of his death, the decedent resided with his
sister, Marjorie M. Kitchen, and his mother, Clara L. Kitchen, who are
entitled to the family exemption pursuant to 20 Pa.C.S.A. S 3121.
6. The total value of the decedent's personal estate is less than
Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) and consists of the following personal

9. A Pennsylvania Inheritance Tax Return has been filed and the
tax due in the amount of $45.09 upon the decedent's estate has been
paid.
A copy of the Notice of Assessment, Notice of Allowance and
Disallowance of tax is attached hereto as Exhibit "B".

decedent's personal estate be made to the following heirs or next of

AMENDMENT TO PETITION FOR SETTLEMENT OF A SMALL ESTATE
TO THE HONORABLE JUDGES OF SAID COURT:
1. On september 12, 1994, your petitioner Majorie M. Kitchen,
sister of Richard Kitchen, deceased, filed a petition for
Settlement of a Small Estate, a copy of which is attached hereto as
"Exhibit A".
2. petitioner averred in said petition that the decedent
owned 30 shares of stock in the May Department stores with a date
of death value of $1,188.75.
3. subsequent to the filing of said petition and the granting
of said petition by this court, Petitioner discovered that the
decedent actually owned 60 shares of stock in the May Department
Stores with a date of death value of $2,377.50.
4 . The discovery of these additional shares increases the
gross estate to $5,820.77.
5. All other values averred in said petition remain
unchanged.
6. with the inclusion of the additional shares of stock, it
is proposed that the following distribution of the decedent I s
personal estate be made to the following heirs or next of kin:
Clara L. Kitchen - Mother(Estate of)
Ricardo Duarte - Nephew

7. These stocks are the only assets remaining in the estate

The additional inheritance tax due on the
