LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF JANIE B. KNOX
I, Janie B. Knox, of 216 Chambersburg Street, Gettysburg, Adams
County, Pennsylvania, do make and publish this my Lost Will, hereby revoking

and making void all former wills heretofore mode by me.

I direct that my Executor or Successor Co-Executors herein-
after named first payout of my general estate, os soon os possible after my
death, sll of my just and legally collectible debts, funeral expenses, expenses
of administration of my estate, and 011 estate, inheritance and like taxes
becoming due with respect to any and 011 property required to be included in my
gross estate for tax purposes, regardless of whether such property posses by
the terms of the Will; snd the transfer of all such property sholl be free and
clear of such taxes.
SECOND:
I make the following specific bequests of personal
property:
A. I give and bequeath my large diamond with four small
diamonds unto my granddaughter, Cynthia Scott.
B. I give and bequeath my ops1 ring with eight small
diamonds unto my granddaughter, Sherri Noone.
C. I give and bequeath my emerald ring with eight
diamonds unto my granddaughter, Robin Howe.
D. I give and bequeath my pearl ring with three pearls
and dhmond chips unto my granddaughter, Kandra Howe.
E. I give and bequeath my necklace with one pearl snd
some dismond chips unto my granddaughter, Tammy Heishman.
It is my desire that these items of jewe1cry not be sold but that

the jewe1ery be worn or handed down to successive generations.
THIRD I
I give, devise and bequeath 011 of the rest, residue and
remainder of my property of every kind and nature, real, personal or mixed, or
wheresoever situated, in equal shares unto my children, Dorothy H. Byers,
Jeck E. Howe, Robert L. Howe, or their issue per stirpes.
FOURTH:
I nominate, constitute and appoint my son, Jack E. Howe, as
Executor of this my Last Will and Testament, provided that he survives me and
qualifies as Executor within Sixty (60) days after my death. I expressly
direct that he not be required to post bond for the faithful performonce of
his duties in this or in any other jurisdiction. The only reason that my son,
Jack E. Howe, is being named oa Executor in preference to any of my other
children whom I desire to treat equally, is because of his residing in Adama
County, moking it more convenient for him to handle my affairs and administer
my estate.
FIFTH:
In the event that my son, Jack E. Howe, does not survive me,
or in the event that he fails to qualify as Executor within Sixty (60) days
after my death, I nominate, constitute and appoint my son and daughter, Robert
Howe and Dorothy H. Byers, as Successor Co-Executors of this my Last Will and
Testament. I expressly direct that they not be required to post bond for the
faithful performance of their duties in this or in any other jurisdiction.
SIXTH:
I confer upon my Executor or Successor Co-Executors full
power and authority to sell, transfer and convey any property, real or personal,
which I may own at the time of my death, at public or private sole and at such
time and place and upon such terms and conditions os my Executor or Successor
Co-Executors may determine.

Dear Ladies:
Enclosed herewith are two copies of the Inventory, Appraisal
and Debts and Deductions for the Estate of Janie B. Knox.
Attached is a check payable to the Register of WillS, Agent for
$147.49 for inheritance tax and a check to Cumberland County
Register of Wills for $25.00 for the filing of the Inventory and
state Appraisement.
I have also attached to the form to be filed with the state
the copy of the Will and codicil. Many of the items mentioned in
the Codicil were either disposed of prior to death or could not
be located.
