Tbis lelter is in response to your lelter received on Tuesday, November 10. 1998, I would like to
state the following in response to the allegation that Steve McMurray and myself separated on
October 24, 1996,
In October of 1996, Mr, McMurray stated that he was not happy with our relationship
and he wanted to separate and go live with his sister, Mr, McMurray proceeded to remove his
clothes from our home about II :00 p,m, on Oetober 241h, butlell all his personal elTeets behind,
He returned to our home on October 25th to transfer utilities to my name, From October 25th to
our separation on February 7, 1997, he continued to contaet me frequently and stopped by our
home severaltillles per wcck, Mr, McMurray retrieved our daughter from school, watched her,
cooked dinner and spent nights at our home, During the time stated above, we continued to have
sexual relations, Because of the happenings as stated above, I felt that we were reconciling and
were really not separated,
In November 1992, Mr. McMurray took a job at a children's home in Lilllestown, PA,
Our relationship from that time till our separation in February 1997 consisted of weekend visits
and occasional trips home during the week. During this time, he worked constantly, so even
though Mr, McMurray stated we were separated. to me, we were living as we had been since
November 1992,
On January 15, 1997, Mr. McMurray's mother passed away, during the week that
followed, Mr, MeMurray stayed with me and I was with him during the funeral and visits to
relative's homes, \-Ie introduced me as him wife to family members and gave our home address
and phone number for relatives to contact him, We continued relations as husband and wife
during this time, Mr. McMurray lell our home the night that his mother was buried, stating that
he was returning to work, Approximately two days later Mr, McMurray returned to our home at
I 1:00 p,m, explaining that he justlellthe hospital and that he was extremely ill. Mr, McMurray
returned to the hospital the next day while I was at work, Aller work, I went to the hospital to be
with Mr, McMurray. I found my husband silting in the emergency room and aller talking to his
physician and going with him to have a series of tests. I went with my husband to his room and
encountered a woman silling there, I asked my husband who she was and he stated she was a
friend, she immediately left the room, leaving behind magazines and a card, When my husband
opened the eard, I noticed that it was signed "Love Tammy", he told me that he had been out
with her a few times and it was none of my business, I was very upset by this and immediately
left the hospital. I returned to the hospital with a few personal items for him and returned home,
During his stay in the hospital (which lasted a week), he was in constant contact with me and
was very apologetic and told me that he loved me, He also stated to several close friends of ours,
that he was going to our home after his release,
My curiosity peaked by this woman named Tammy, I contacted his work and asked to
speak with her, During our conversation, Ms, Parks stated that Mr, McMurray lived with her and
had been seeing her since September 1996 and also that he was seeing various other co.workers
from July 1996 until he met her, When I told Ms, Parks that he had been living with me, she
stated that Mr, McMurray had been in constant contact with her, and told her, he was staying
with his father, I infonned Ms, Parks that we were reconciling and she needed to stay out of our
lives, She stated that she had nothing to gain or lose and she would stay out of our lives,
