STIPULATION AGAINST LIENS
THIS AGREEMENT made the 211th day olA/ay, 1997 by and bctwcen
CPI Mechanical Contractor,!'
hereinafter referred to as Contractor,
AND
Carlisle Opportllnity HOllies, Inc,
hcrcinafter referred to as Owner, whcreby the former undcrtook and agrced to creet and construct
a housing rehabilitation project in Ihe BorollKh ofC 'arlisle, Cllmherland COllt1ly,
NOW THEREFORE, THIS AGREEMENT WITNESSETH: That the said Contractor, for and in
consideration of the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) to and in hand paid by Owner, the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, and the furthcr consideration mentioned in the Agreement
aforesaid, for themselves and thcir subcontractors, and all partics acting through or under them,
covcnant and agrcc that no mcchanic's licns or e1aims shall be filed or maintained by them or any
of them against the said buildings and thc lot of ground appurtcnant thereto for or on account of
any work done or materials furnished by them or any of them under said contract or otherwise,
for, towards, in, or about the crcction and construction of the said buildings on the lot above
described and the said Contractor, for themselves, thcir subcontractors and others under them
hereby expressly waive and relinquish the right to have, file, and maintain any mechanic's liens
or e1aims against the said buildings or any of them, and agree that this instrument, waiving the
right of lien, shall be an independent covenant.
