ments of a testamentary na t.ure, heretofore made by me, and do hereby make, publish and

FIRST: I direct nw exeoutor, hereinafter named, as soon after II\Y death aa shall be
convenient, to pay II\Y funeral expenses.
SECOi:J: In the event. nw husband, 1:lmer B. Ashway, survives me, I give, devise and
bequeath all of the rost, residue and r9D11linder of II\Y estate, real, personal and mixed,
of every kind and nature and wherever situated, to II\Y said husband, ~er B. Ashway,
absolutoly.
TllTitD: In the event my husband, Elmer B. Ashway, predeceases me, then in such
evon t, r gl.ve, devise nnd bequea th all of the said rest, residue and remainder of II\Y
estate as follows:
A. I gi'TO .1nd bequeath all of II\Y furniture, furnishings, rugs, pictures, books,
silver, linens, chinu, glassware, wtlaring apparel, jewelry and all other household fur-
nishings, t.o nw son, E. 3rinm' ,ishway, ab.Qolutely;
3. I give, devise nnd be'lueHth, one-half (1/2) of the remainder of said
residue to m.v son, E. 3riner Ashway, absolutely;

said residue to II\Y son, E. 3riner AshHay, in trust, nevertheless, for the following
us os and purposes:
(1) My fruSt90 shall divide the said trust fund into as many equal shares

variety of red or personal property, as he may deem advisable, whether or not suoh
investments be of a character permissible fOr investments by fiduciaries.
