PETITION FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF GUARDIANS FOR THE PERSON OF RYAN M. ZIMMERMAN. A MINOR OVER THE AGE OF FOURTEEN YEARS Petitioner Ryan M. zimmerman, by his attorneys, Snelbaker & Brenneman, P. C. petitions this Court for the appointment of co- guardians of his person as follows: 1. petitioner Ryan M. Zimmerman is a minor, age 14, born May 21, 1981 and resides at 623 Williams Grove Road, Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. 2. Petitioner resides with Earnest F. Zimmerman and Kelly J. Zimmerman, his wife, Petitioner'S uncle and aunt and the proposed co-guardians of Petitioner's person. 3. Petitioner's parents are stephen M. Zimmerman, who resides at 15 Wayne Road, camp Hill, Pennsylvania and Kim A. Zimmerman, who presently resides at the Penn Foundation Recovery Center, 807 Lawn Avenue, Sellersville, Pennsylvania. LAW O"ICE. SNELDAKER 8< BRENNEMAN 4. Petitioner's father, Stephen M. Zimmerman, consents to the appointment of Earnest F. Zimmerman and Kelly J. Zimmerman, said father's brother and sister-in-law, respectively, as co-guardians of the person of the Petitioner. The consent of stephen M. Zimmerman is attached hereto as "Exhibit A". 5. Petitioner's mother, Kim A. Zimmerman, consents to the appointment of Earnest F. Zimmerman and Kelly J. Zimmerman, said mother's brother-in-law and sister-in-law, respectively, as co- guardians of the person of the Petitioner. The consent of Kim A. Zimmerman is attached hereto as "Exhibit B". 6. The Petitioner presently has no guardian. 7. The appointment of guardians is necessary for the welfare, emotional and social development and benefit of the Petitioner for the reason that Petitioner's father is employed at night and with the absence of Petitioner's mother due to her treatment for her mental condition and drug dependency, Petitioner's father is unable to devote the time necessary to properly raise and nurture Petitioner and simultaneously remain employed and support Petitioner and his siblings. 8. The proposed co-guardians are Earnest F. Zimmerman and his wife, Kelly J. Zimmerman, ages 36 and 35, respectively, who reside at 623 Williams Grove Road, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. 9. The proposed co-guardians are Petitioner'S uncle and aunt. LAW a,.,.ICl:e SNELDAI(ER III BRENNEMAN 10. The proposed co-guardians have no interest adverse to that of the Petitioner. -2- 11. The Petitioner has no estate. Accordingly, the proposed co-guardiane are not fiduciaries, sureties or employees of a fiduciary or surety of any estate in which the minor is interested. 12. The Petitioner, Petitioner's parente and the proposed co-guardians are of the Protestant faith. 13. The Petitioner is not entitled to receive any money as a party to an action or proceeding in any court. 14. The Petitioner is not the child of a veteran of the United states. 15. The written consent of the proposed co-guardians to their appointment is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein as "Exhibit C". WHEREFORE, Petitioner Ryan M.
