Thio is in response to your request for an extension to file
the Inheritance Tax Return for the above-referenced estate.
In accordance with Section 9136(d) of the Inheritance and
Eatate Tax Act of 1995, the time for filine the return is extended for
an additional period of six (6) months. This extension will avoid the
imposition of a pens1ty for failure to make a timely return. However,
it does not prevent interest from accruine on any tax remainine unpaid
after the delinquent date.
The return muot be filed with the l\eeioter of Wills on or
before January 13, 1997. Becauae Section 9136(d) of the 1995 Act
e110ws for only one extra period of six (6) months, no addl:iona1
extension(s) will be eronted that would exceed the maximum time
permitted.
