reference. By way of further answer, the Defendant haa repaid to

or information sufficient to form a belief as to the truth of the
averment that on or about April 27, 1993, the Plaintiff had loaned
to the Defendant a certain sum of money. It i5 admitted that the
Plaintiff had loaned to the Defendant the 5~~ of $700.00. It i5
specifically denied that as of the date of receipt by Defendant of
the $700.00 that there was any sum of mOlley due and owing to the
Plaintiff in excess of $900.00. Defendallt's re5ponse to Paragraph
3 of Plaintiff's Complaint is incorporated herein by reference. By
way of further answer, the Defendant has repaid to the Plaintiff
the sum of $700.00 borrowed from the Plaintiff.

After reasonable investigation, the Defelldant is without knowledge
or infor~ation sufficient to form a belief as to the truth of the
averment that on oc about June 17, 1993, the Plaintiff loaned to
the Defendant a certain sum of money. It is admitted that the
unilaterally proposing the commencement of any payment5. It i5
admitted that Oefendant'5 hU5band forwarded a letter to the
Plaintiff in which a unilateral offer wa5 made to pay to Plaintiff
the sum of $10,000.00 in regular payment5 buy only if Plaintiff
would 5top hara55ing the Defendant, Defendant'5 hU5band, and their
familiesl which Plaintiff failed to do.

The Defendant'5 An5wer5 to Paragraphs 1 through 10 are incorporated
herein a5 if 5et forth in their entirety.

On or about July 8, 1990, the Plaintiff, Defendant's mother,
permitted the Defendant to move into a 1987 Muncy mobile home which
the Plaintiff had owned.

At the time that the Defendant moved into the aforesaid mobile
home, there was no discussion between the parties concerning the
payment of any 5um of money by the Defendant to the Plaintiff.

On or about July 26, 1990, upon the Plaintiff' 5 sugge5tion and
urging, the partie5 went to a Notary PUblic at which time the
Plaintiff tran5ferred the title to the mobile home to the
Defendant, with Plaintiff'5 specific intention5 being to gift the
mobile home to the Defendant.

At the time of the transfer of the mobile home to the Defendant,
the Plaintiff indicated that she felt sorry for the Defendant and
5pecifically mentioned that she had given her daughter. Terry money
to buy a car and that she never expected to see any money from himl
50 that the Defendant was not to worry about paying the Plaintiff
anything for the mobile home.

In September or October of 1991, the Defendant lost her job and the
Plaintiff indicated that she would lend money to the Defendant.

A total sum of $2,500.00 was borrowed from the Plaintiff which the
Defendant ha5 repaid.

Op or about June 12, 1987, the Plaintiff had loaned the 5um of
$1,000.00 to Defendant's son.

The Plaintiff attempted to collect the $1,000.00 from her grandson
'without 5Ucce55 andl con5equently, brought 5uit again5t the
Defendant in York CountYI which was di5mi55ed.

After being hara5sed by the Plaintiff, the Defendant indicated that
5he would pay the $1,000.00 obligation of her 50n for which 5he ha$
made a total of $590 in payment5.

De5pi te there being no agreement between the partie5 for the
payment of any sum of money to the Plaintiff for the mobile home
acquired by the Defendant, the Plaintiff ha5 repeatedly hara5sed ,
the Defendant and her husband in requesting payment to her for the
mobile home.

Only after repeated harassment from the Plaintiff did Defendant's
hU5band offer to pay the sum of $10,000.00 to the Plaintiff for the
mobile home on condition that the Plaintiff not bother Defendant,
Defendant's husband, or their families.

Subsequent to mailing the letter to the Plaintiff, Defendant's
husband's mother received a harassing phone call from the Plaintiff
which greatly upset Defendant's husband's mother.
