swelling on her faco and lacerations requiring stitches on !he Inside
ofhor moulb. The plaintiff escaped from Ibe defendant by running
to a neighbor's home.
Later that momln& Ibe plaintiff, Samuel Simmons, entered
his home and Ibe defendant stood Ihrcalcningly close to him,
screamed al him, and grabbed his car keys and wallel from hispanl8
pockel tearing Ibe pocket, and caming him 10 haw a panic attack
and fall to Ibe floor. The defendanl repeatedly pulled ann of Ibe
plainlitr, Samuel Simmons, yelling at him 10 get up. The police
arrived at Ibe residence, called an ambulance, and arrested Ibe
defendant who ill presently incarcerated in Cumberland County
Prison.
b. In or about June 1997, Ibe defendant ranted and rawd lilt the
plaintiff, Elbel Simmons, caming her to fear for het. safety. The
defendant swiped his falber's glasses from his face and punched
him In Ibe ribs caming bruising. When !he plaintiff, Elbel
Sinunons, walked Into Ibe room, Ibe defendant threatened her by
ukInal her If she Wlllltcd some of WIhilI" (referring to what he had
just done to his falber), pushed her Into a door caming her pain, and
attempted to kick her.
c. On severlll dlffercnt OCCllIdOI\ll sincc approximalely 1987, the
defendant has Ibrown objeclH allbe plainlilfR; Mmashed dool'll, Iighl
fixtures, and picture frames, and rcpealedly beatlbc hood of
plaintiffs' car wilb a slick denting Ihe hood CDl1lling Ibe plaintiftillo
fear for their satety.
S. The plaintiffS believe and therefore Dwr Ihat Ibcy arc in immediate and present
danger of abuse from the defendant, and Iba.tlbcy are in need of protection from such abU80.
6. The plaintiffs desire Ibat Ibe defendant be prohibited from having any direct or
indirect contact wilb the plalnlitrs.
7. The plaintiffs desirc that the dcfendant be eqjolned from harassing and sta1klng Ibe
plaintiff, and from harassing Ibc plaintiffs relatives.
8. The plaintiffs desire that the defendant be restrained from entering their places of
employment.
9. The plaintiffM desire Ibat the defendant be enjoined from removing, damqing.
destroying or lOlling any property owned by the plaintiffs.
B. EXCLUSIVE POSSi;SSION
10. The home which the plaintiff is asking the Court to ordor Ibe defendant to stay
away from is not owned or rented in the defendanfs name.
II. The defendant has been Incarcerated In Cumberland County Prison, Carlisle,
Peml8ylvania since lIppI'oximately September 17, 1997.

Legal Services, Inc.'s fun-Jing sources for the cosl of litigating Ihis CIlllC.
WHEREFORE, pl1l'lluanlto the proWiions of the "Protection from Abuse Act" of October
7, 1976,23 Pa.C.S. ~ 6101 clscq., a.~ amended, the plaintitrpraysthis Honorable Court to grant
Ibe following relief;
A. Grant a Temporary Order punuanlto the "Protection from Abl180 Act:"
I. Ordering tho deli:ndantlo refrain from abusing me
plaintiffs or placing Ibem in fear of abllHc.
2. Ordering tho defendanllo rcfraln from having any
direct or Indirect con\acl with the plainlifts.
3. Ordering Ibe defendanllo refrain from harassing and
stalking the plaintiffs and from Iurassing the p1alnlitrs' relatives.
4. Prohibiting the defendant from entering the
plaintiffs' places of employment.
S. Prohibiting the defendant from remov\n& damagin&
destroying or lOlling property owned by the plaintiffs.
6. Ordering the defendant to stay away from t1!e
plaintiffs' residence located at 2149 Douglas Drive, Carlisle,
Cumbcr1and County, Pennsylvania, and any othor residence the
