AND NOW. this 2nd day of October, 1997, comes the Plaintiff by its attorney, N,
Christopher Menges, and liIes the following Complaint:
I. The Plaintiff is Lancer Investments, LLS a New Jersey Company, who is
authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, whose principal business
address is P.O. Box 1377, Fair Lawn, New Jersey.
2. The Defendant is Francis J. Lafferty, whose mailing address is 3121 Yale Avenue,
Camp Hill, Pennsylvania 17011-5253,
3, Beginning on or about November 30, 1992, Defendants did purchase and receive
merchandise with a Discover Card. which totalled the sum of S 1,191.42.
4, The Defendant accepted the merchandise as being acceptable and in the ordinary
course of business with an express or implied promise to pay therefore.
5, Discover assigned its interest in this account tn Lancer Investments, LLS, the
plaintiff herein.

6. Discover maintained hooks of account. keeping an lIccurate running lIceountof all
dehits lInd credits lilr the merehllndise provided to the Delcndant.
6. The Defendant owes the PllIintilT the amount of $1,191.42 plus interest at 6% per
annum on the pust due halanee on said lIeeount as shown hy statement of account, 11 copy of
which is lIttached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" lInd ineorporllted herein hy relcrence.
7. Demand for payment on this account has heen made wus made on July 3, 1997.
In spite of this demand, the DelcndlUlt hus refused to pay said halanee of $1,191.42 plus interest
at 6% per unnum,
WHEREFORE, Plaintiff demund judgment against the Defendunt in the sum 01'$1,191.42
plus interest at 6% per annum from July 19, 1993 to dale of payment and costs of suit. Pursuunt
to Pennsylvunia Rule of Civil Procedure 1021(c) in counties having rules governing compulsory
arbitration the amount claimed does not exceed the jurisdictional amount requiring arbitration
referral by local rule of the county which this was filed.
