Friedman 6 Friedman, P.C,, and brings this cause of action
against the pefendant and avers as followst
i. xhe Plaintiff, Joai A. Petrina, formerly known as
Jodi A. Messersmith (hereinafter Joai A. Petrina), is en adult
individual residing at Bl Manny prive, Middletown, pauPhin
County, Pennsylvania 17QB7.
2. The pefendant, Nael paniells supplee, is an adult
individual residing at B9a IBlanahester Rd., Harrisburg, peu~hin
county, Pennsylvania 1'Jll2.
9. On o~ spout Monday, July 8, 1996, at approximately
3tBB ~.m., the Plaintiff, Jodi A. Petrina, Was lawfully and
oarefully operating her 1991 Ragle summit northbound on Pa. Route
89, in the left lane of titres northbound traffic lanes, in
Cumberland county apProaahing the south Hridge crossing the
susquehanna River.

operated a 1986 Honda Aaaord at an exoessive rate of speedy also
in a northbound direction on Aa, Route 89~ in the oenter lane of
three northbound traffic lanes, in the immediate vioinity of the
Alaintiff.
6. At that time, dake and pleas the psfendant
negligently recklessly and aareleesly operated her vehicle py
attempting to merge into the right lane of northbound traffic,
Which lane Was oaaupied~ and While traveling at an excessive rate
of speed,
7• At that time, date and pleas pefendant supplee, as
a result of her negligent, reckless and careless attempt to merge
into the right lane of northbound traffic While traveling at an
excessive rate of speedy did lose control of her Vehiole~ and did
arose over the middle lane of northbound traffic, and did cause
khe psfendant~s drivers side of her vehicle to strike the
passenger side of the 8laintiff~s vehicle,
e, As a result of the Plaintiffs vehicle being
struck by the pefendant~s vehicle as described above, the impaot
forced the plaintiffs vehiole into the ogncrete median, at which
time the plaintiffs vehiale~flipped onto its roof and same to
rest in the left lane of northbound traffic,

as to collide With the Pleintiff~s vehiale
thereby causing Plaintiffs vehiale to travel
into the concrete median and flip onto its
roofs

order to be able to avoid aolliding With the
aforementioned vehiale owned by Plei tiff
Petrina~ Which eailure resulted in t~e
collision With the vehiale of the Piaintiff~
p. Failing to keep a careful and diligent Watch
on the road
R. priving too fast for conditions and in excess
of the epees limits and
F. Failing to aompl~ wit the provisions of the
Pennsylvania rotor Ve~iale code relatingg to
the operation of motor vehiales~ speaifiaally
as they relate to the aforesaid sots of
negligence.
ll. At all times material hereto PlaihtifP Petrina

oazelessnese of the pefpndant, Plaintiff Petrina Was violently
shaken and suffered severe and serious injuries to her body,

F. Tenderness and guarding of the cervical and
thoraaia spine.
o. Bilateral shoulder pain, sharp pain whe
reaching overhead, and burning between bar
shoulder biases where sitting.
H. Bruises and abrasions of her left upper arm.
I, peareased muscle strength of both armd.

K. Bilateral arm paresthesies.
1,. bilateral hand numbness, and numbness and
tingling in the fingers of both hands.
M. Bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome, as verified
byY an upper extremity EMc3 and by positive
Tinel~s and Phalen~s signs, which aonditlon
is prone to recurrence even after surgery.
N. Bilateral wrist pain, and left hand pain
which oontinues to the present time,
o. Upper and mid-beak pain.
