4. The Prothonotary orthis Court shall transmit a eertified eopy of this ORDER
AND DECREE to the Offiee of the Recorder of Deeds where the same shall be recorded with
the oath required by Article 6 of the Constitution of Pennsylvania.
5, At such time as Dickinson College shall no longer require the services of said
Appointee, a noticc to that effect under the Dickinson College corporate seal shall be filcd
in the Office ofthe Recorder of Deeds, This information shall be noted upon the margin of
the record where the ORDER AND DECREE were recorded, and thereupon the powers of
said Appointee shall terminate,

PETITlON FOR APPOINTMENT OF
DICKINSON COLLEGE PRIVATE POLICE
AND NOW, Dickinson College, by its attorneys, McNees, Wallace & Nurick,
respectfully request that this Court appoint a private police officer for the Dickinson
College Campus, and in support of its request states as follows:
I, The Petitioner, Dickinson College (hereinafter "Petitioner"), is a non-profit
corporation existing under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and operates a
college at Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
2. The Petitioner's campus consists oflarge areas of grounds which are open to
the public in and around the Borough of Carlisle,
3. Section 50 I ofP.L. 1063, No, 271, dated November IS, 1972, as amended, (22
Pa. C,S, ~501) authorizes any non-profit corporation to petition the Court to seek the
appointment of private police officers to act as police officers in the immediate and adjacent
vicinity of the non-profit corporation's property,
