On or ahout Fchruary 1 I, 1998, the defcndant confesscd 10 the plainlilf that in or about .July, 1997, he had dissolved the contents of a 50 milligram capsule of Loxipane into a glass of milk which he gave to the plaintiff's four year old daughter, At that time, the defendant had been caring for the children while the plaintiff was away for a few hours. When she relurned, she found thai the defendant had taken the children and gone 10 his mother's. When the plaintiff wcnt there, she found Bryan, age 2, and Daniellc, age 4, sleeping on the eouch. Hours later they were still sleeping and were unable to be arouscd to bc taken home. Lah:r, after being taken home, Bryan woke up and bccamc alert but, Danielle got worse, stared into space and passed out. The plaintiff called for an ambulancc and Danielle was taken to Holy Spirit Hospital and eventually transferred to Hershey Medical Ccnter wherc she was placed in ICU for the next three days for testing. It was discovered that she had Loxipane in her system. The plaintiff feared for herself and her children since this incident since she suspected that the defendant had been responsible for the children's condition, She has been unable to sleep, and has had recurring nightmares about the 2 incidcnt. When the defendant confessed 10 her thaI hc had druggcd the children, the plainlilf callcd the police and Cumberland County Children and Y oulh Sen-ices, Whcn Ihc plaintirr told thc defendant to leave the residcnce, he did, TIIC policc and Cumhcrland County Children and Youth Services are currently investigating this incident, b, On or about Fchruary 10, 1998, the defendant raiscd his fist to the plaintiff and threatened to kill hcr. c. In or about January 1998, when the plain tilT was eight months pregnant, the defendant kicked her in her upper stomach callSing her to fear for hcr safely and thc safely of hcr unborn child, d. In or about 1996, aftcr thc plainlilT askcd thc defendant to leave thc residcnce and he rcfllScd, ehased her, grabbed her, and repeatedly punched her on the hcad causing swelling. 1be children wcre present during this incident.
