The Plaintiff, Krista Olmstead, now known as Krista Bacr, is a resident of the County of Cumberland, Pennsylvania, residing at 637 South College Street, Carlisle, Pennsylvania 17013, 2. The Defendants, .Iell' lmd JoAnne Goss, are residents of the County of Cumberland. Pennsylvania. residing at 10 Derbyshire Drive. Carlisle, Pennsylvania 17013, and d/b/a Market Cross Pub, with a principal business address of 113 North Hanover Street, Carlisle, Pennsylvania 17013. 3. On 01' about October I, 1994, the Plaintiff was employed by the Defendants as the Food Manager for the Market Cross Pub, 4, During the course of her employment, Plnintitl' was subject to a hostile and offensive work environment. 5, The hostile and offensive work environment wl\.~ the result of the combined effect of Dclcndnnt, Jelf (loss' unwnnted Ilnd improper !lCxual ndvances toward Plaintiff, and Defendants, JoAnne (loss' repented, unfounded and improper accusations that Plaintiff was having an adulterous affnir with her husbnnd, JelfOoss, 6. Plaintiff expressed her objections regarding the unwelcome behavior, 7, The unwanted conduct continued until on or about May I, 1996, when Plaintiff was constructively discharged from her employment with Defendant. 8. On or about August 27, 1996, Plaintiff filed a charge of discrimination with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission alleging that Defendants had committed unlawful discriminatory practices against her in violation of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act of October 27, 1955, P.L. 744, as amended, Section 5(a). 9, On or about Novemoor 6, 1997, Baer received a "one year letter" from the Pennsylvania Humlln Relations Commission informing her of hel' right to bring this action before this Court. A copy of the letter is attached hereto and marked as Exhibit "A". 10. Plaintiff's claims of gender-based discrimination arise from Defendants' harassment of Plaintiff as more fully described above, 11. Defendants had actual knowledge of the acts and failed to take appropriate steps to cease and desist such action. 12.
