5. 1'he Defendant, SEL-WIlI, 1nc, t/d/b/a wIlliams Grove
Speedway, is a corporation, organized and exJ.sti.ng under the laws
of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and duly regiotered to do
busineoo in the Commonwealth of Pennoylvan:i.a :i.n accordance with the
Act of Assembly so prov:i.ding, w:i.th :i.ts pr:i.ncJ.pal place of business
located at Williams Grove Park, RD #3, Mechanicsburg, Cumberland
County, Pennsylvania 17055.
6. The Defendant, Williams Grove Speedway, is a corporation
or similar entity, organized and existing under the laws of the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and duly registered to do business in
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in accordance with the Act of
Assembly so providing, with its principal place of business located
at 1 Speedway Drive, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania 17055.
7. On the 5th day of May, 1996, at approximately 3:00 p.m.,
Defendant, Lance Sweitzer, by and through Defendant, Doug Rose,
a/k/a Douglas Rose, his agent, oervant, workman or employee, who
was then and there engaged in furthering the interests of said
Defendant, owned, possessed, controlled and operated a certain
motor vehicle and trailer involved in the accident described below.
8. At the time aforesaid, the vehicle of said Defendants was
being operated into the main gate at Williams Grove Speadway, when
it came into a violent collision with the persons of the
Plaintiffs, Richard J. Show and Carrie Show, who were then and
there lawfully walking as pedestrians in said area.
9. The said vehicle and/or trailer attached to said vehicle,
struck said Plaintiffs from behind as they were walking into the

main entrance of said Wi.lliams Grove Speedway; as a rSAult of this
incident, said PlaintHfs sustained injuries morc~ particularly
described below.
10. As a direct result of the aforesaid negligence of the
various Defendants, the plaint iff, R.ichard J. Show, sustained,
inter alia, an injury to the right knee with involvement of the
surrounding muscles, ligaments, tendons, nerves, blood vessels and
soft part.s alld with resultant pain, deformity and disability of the
aforementioned parts; multiple bruises and abrasions; shock and
injury to his nerves and nervous system.
ll. All of the above injuries are serious and permanent
except those of a superf icial nature. All of the foregoing
injuries have rendered the Plaintiff, Richard J. Show, sick, sore,
disabled and disordered and have made him undergo great mental
anguish and physical pain, as a result of which he has suffered,
yet suffers and will continue to suffer for an iDdefinite time in
the future.
12. As a further result of this accident, Plaintiff, Richard
J. Show, has been or will be obliged to receive and undergo medical
attention and care and tJ expend various sums of money and incur
various expenses which have or may exceed sums recoverable under
the limits in 75 P. S. ~1 711 and may be obliged to continue to
expend such sums or incur such expenditures for an indefinite time
in the future.
13. As a further result of this accident, Plaintiff, Richard
J. Show, has suffered a severe loss of earnings power and an

impairment of earning capacity which such loss has or may exceed
Bums recoverable under the limits in 75 1'.8. ~1711.
14. As a further result of the aforesaid negligence of the
various Defendants, the Plaintiff, Carrie Show, sustaIned, inter

surrounding muscles, ligaments, tendons, nerves, blood vessels and
soft parts and with resultant. pain, deformity and disability of the

injuries have rendered the plaintiff, Carrie Show, sick, sore,
disabled and disordered and have made her undergo great mental

the future.
16. As a further result of this accident, the Plaintiff,
Carrie Show, has been or will be obliged to receive and undergo
