issuance of process. In consideration of the attached Commonwealth' s Petition, a
WARRANT IS ISSUED FOR THE ARREST of the D~fendant, SANTOS L. RUIZ.
If the defendant is found during normal Courthouse hours, the defendant is to be
brought immediately before the Court, If not found during Courthouse hours, the
defendant is to be taken to the on-call District Justice and bail set pursuant to the Rules of
Criminal Procedure. Furthcrmore, after appearing beforc the District Justice the defendant
is advised to appear before the Court Administrator at the open of the next business day.
Defendant has a right to be represented by an attorney. If thc defcndant cannot
afford an attorney, upon requcst one will be assigned to represent the defendant. The
assessment of costs to be determined by the Trial Judge subsequent to trial.

transferring custody during which times the defendant shal I
remain in his vehicle.
7. The court costs and fees are waived.
8. This Order shall remain in effect for a period of one
year or until modified or terminated by the Court. The Order can
be extended beyond its original expiration date if the Court
finds that the defendant has committed another act of abuse or
has engaged in a pattern or practice that indicates continued
risk of harm to the plaintiff.
9. A violation of this Order may subject the defendant to:
i) arrest under 23 Pa,C.S. 661tJ; ii) a private criminal
complaint under 23 Pa.C.S. 66113.1; iii) a charge of indirect
criminal contempt under 23 Pa.C,S. ft61t4, punishable by
imprisonment up to six months and a fine of $100.00-$1,000.00;
and Iv) civil contempt under 23 Pa.C.S. 66tt4.t. Resumption of
co-residence on the part of the plaintiff and defendant shall not
nullify the provisions of the court order.
10. The appropriate police departments shall be provided
with certified copies of this Order by the plaintiff's attorney
and may enforce this Order by arrest for indirect criminal
contempt without warrant upon probable cause that this Order has
been violated, whether or not the violation is committed in the
presence of a police officer. In the event that an arrest is
made under this section, the defendant shal I be taken without

8. This Order shall remain in effect for Ii period of one
year or until modified or terminated by the Court. The Order can
be extended beyond its original expiration date if the Court
finds that the defendant has committed another act of abuse or
has engaged in a pattern or practice that indicates continued
risk of harm to the plaintiff.
9. A violat ion of lhis Order may subject the defendant to:

ORDER OF COURT
AND NOW, this 18th day of May, 1998, after
hearing the Court finds that the Defendant is in contempt of its
prior protection from abuse order.
The Defendant having presented himself for sentence on
th9 Commonwealth's petition for Indirect Criminal contempt,
sentence of the Court is Defendant pay the costs of prosecution
and undergo imprisonment in the Cumberland County Prison for not
less than one day nor more than six months.
It appearing to the Court that the Defendant has
already served one day in prison, he is paroled immediately on
the express condition that he be and remain in good behavior,
comply with all instructions of his probation officer, and that
he have no contact whatsoever with Shannon Gillette for any
purpose whatsoever. The Defendant is to contact the Cumberland
County Probation Office within the next 24 hours to make
arrangements for supervised parole.
