CITATION

consideration of the within Petition to Adjudicate Dorothy E.
Smith Incompetent and Appoint Frederick C. Kope Guardian of her
Person and Estate, a citation is hereby issued to Dorothy E.
Smith, to show cause why she should not be adjudged an
incompetent and a guardian of her Person and Estate appointed.
This citation is returnable ~~

~ of the Cumberland
County Courthouse in carlisle, Pennsylvania, at which time a
hearing shall be held on the within Petition.
Counsel for the Petitioner shall forthwith serve Dorothy E.
Smith, the administrator of the facility in which she resides, as
well as her next-of-kin, with certified copies of this citation,
the attached Petition and notice of the above hearing and advise
them of the opportunity to appear before this Court at such time
to be heard, if they so desire.

Keith O. Brenneman, Esquire, being duly sworn according to
law deposes and says: that he is a principal in the law firm of
Snelbaker & Brenneman, P. C., being the attorneys for Petitioner
Frederick C. Kope in the above captioned action; that on February
13, 1996 he did send to the next of kin of Dorothy E. smith;
namely, Ann Bickel, Margaret Cassell and Katherine Bush each, by
certified mail, return receipt requested, a duly certified copy
of the citation issued in the above matter and the Petition filed
in the above matter as evidenced by the attached cover letters of
the same date and Receipts for certified Mail, that Ann Bickel,
Margaret Cassell and Katherine Bush, personally or through their
agent, each received a certified copy of the citation and
Petition as evidenced by the return receipt cards for said
certified mail dated February 14, 1996, February 14, 1996 and
February 22, 1996; that a copy of the aforementioned cover
letters dated February 13, 1996 to each of the above individuals
are attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein as

Frederick C. Kope, being duly sworn according to law deposes
and says: that he is an adult individual residing at 195 Ridge
Hill Road, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; that he is the Petitioner
in the above action for purposes of being appointed guardian of
the estate and person of Dorothy E. Smith, an incompetent; that
on February 22, 1996 at 5:00 P.M. he personally served upon
Dorothy E. Smith, his mother, a certified copy of the citation
issued February 5, 1996 in the above matter with a true and
correct copy of his Petition therewith; that before serving said
citation and Petition, that he read the contents thereof to
Dorothy E. Smith; that the reading and delivery of the Citation
and Petition occurred at the Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill,
Pennsylvania; and that the foregoing facts are true and
correct to the best of his knowledge, information and belief.
