FOR ORDER OF COURT EXCUSING ADDITIONAL SECURITY
TO THE HONORABLE, THE JUDGES OF SAID COURT:
The Petition of Marlin R. McCaleb, attorney for the Estate
of Joan Lee Jefferson, deceased, respectfully represents as
follows:
1. That the Petitioner is Marlin R. McCaleb, attorney
for the Estate of Joan Lee Jefferson, Deceased, whose office is
at 219 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania 17055.
2. That the decedent herein, Joan Lee Jefferson, late of
the Township of Middlesex, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania,
died testate on March 6, 1996.
3. That Letters Testamentary on the Estate of Joan Lee
Jefferson, deceased, were granted by the Register of Wills of
Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, to Jean Frances Jefferson
Mason, of 5901 Vixen Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana, on April 25,
1996.
4. That because the Executrix is a non-resident of

Pennsylvania, a bond has been entered by her with the said
Register of Wills on April 25, 1996, in the amount of

$100,000.00, with the Western Surety Co., as surety.

11, That the Executrix has entered into a contract to
sell said real estate to Heidi J, Zikorus for the sum of
$104,900.00, being the highest and best offer received for the
property since August 21, 1996, and your Petitioner believes it
is in the best interests of the Estate and the charitable
beneficiary to conclude the sale.
12. That the current assets of the Estate are cash in the
amount of $18,418.40 and the net proceeds of the sale of the
real estate estimated at $95,000.00,
13. That upon completion of the sale of the real estate,
the net proceeds thereof will be deposited in the Estate
checking account at PNC Bank, N.A., controlled by your
Petitioner, the administration of the Estate will be concluded,
and final distribution will be made to the sole legatee, the
American Red Cross.
14. That for the foregoing reasons, your Petitioner
believes and therefore avers that additional security is not
necessary to protect interested parties and that the cost
thereof will only diminish the distribution to the charitable
benef iciary.
WHEREFORE, your Petitioner prays your Honorable Court to
enter an order excusing Jean Frances Jefferson Mason,
Executrix, from the entry of additional security, upon the
