E. My Trustee shall pay over to my Husband, or apply
to his expenses, such sums and amounts either of income or
principal as shall be necessary for the care, maintenance,
medical and other expenses and needs of my Husband during
the term of his natural life, and at his death to pay all
proper funeral, burial or monument expenses.
F. upon the death of my Husband my Trustee shall
distribute the entire balance of princIpal and accumulated
income as prov1ded in paragraph 3 herein.
3. GIFTS TO ISSUE. Upon the death of my Husband as
aforesaid, or upon my death should my Husband fail to
survive me by thirty (30) days. I give my entire estate,
or the balance of the Trust established in paragraph 2
herein, to my beloved children, Julla Ann Moxley, David L.
Peiper, Virglnia A. L.ebo, and Habard W. Peiper, in equal
shares, per stirpes. I direct that my chlldren comply with
the preViously stated prOV1Slon respectlng the occupancy
of 36 South Bedford Street by Adellne Thomas as set forth
in paragraph 2 (D.), herein.

4. POWERS OF FIDUCIARIES. My personal representatives
and trustees shal I have the following powers In addition
to those vested in them by law and by other provisions of
my will, applicable to all property, whether princlpal or
income, exercisable with Court approval and effective
until actual distribution of all property:
A. To invest in all forms of property, including
stocks, common trust funds and mortgage lnvestment
funds without restriction to investments authorized
for Pennsylvania fiduciaries as they deem proper
without regard to any principle of diversification,
risk or productivity.
B. To allocate receipts and expenses to principal
or income or partly to act as my corporate Trustee
from time to time thinks proper ln its sole
discretion.
C. To sell at pUblic or private sale, to exchange
or to lease for any perlod of tlme any real or
personal property and to give optlons for sales,
exchanges or leases, for such prices and upon such
terms as they deem proper.
D. To compromise any claim or controversy.
E. To exercise any option, right or pr'ivi lege
granted in insurance policies or other investments.
5. INTEREST OF MINORS. Any share of my estate which
shall become distributable to a minor may be held in a
savings account, certificate of deposit or similar
security, in a federally insured banklng or savings
institution in the name of the minor and marked not to be
withdrawn until the minor attains the age of 18 years.
6. TAXES. A 11 federa I, state and other death taxes
payable because of my death. with respect to property
forming my gross estate for tax purposes, whether or not
passing under thlS will, lnc'luding any interest or penalty
imposed in conn~ction with such tax. shall be considered a
part of the expense of the administration of my estate and
shall be paid out of the principal of my estate without
apportionment or right of relmbursement. All such taxes
on present or future interests shall be paid at such time
or times as by Executors or my Trustees may thlnk proper,
regardless of whether such taxes are then due.
7. APPOINTMENT or PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE. I

Carlisle, Pennsylvania as Executor under this my last

the unqersigned personally inspected the following described
property:
All that certain lot of ground located in the Second
Ward of the Borough of Carlisle, Cumberland County,
Pennsylvania, bounded and described as follows:
On the East by south Bedford Street; on the South by
lot now or formerly of A. D. B. Smead: on the West by lot of
the School District of the Borough of Carlisle; and on the
North by lot formerly of A. T. Shupe: containing 15 feet in
front on said Bedford Street and extending 60 feet in depth,
more or less.
Also all that certain strip of land adjoining beginning
at a point on Liberty Avenue at the northeast corner of the
lot belonging to the School District of the Borough of
Carlisle; thence Southward by said lot 16 feet to the above
described lot of ground: thence by the above described lot
of ground Eastwardly 3 feet; thence by lot formerly of A. T.
Shupe Northwardly 16 feet to said Liberty Avenue; westwardly
3 feet to the place of beginning. Containing 16 feet in
length Northward and Southward and 3 feet in width Eastward
and Westward for the purpose of an alley at passage way,
saving or reserving however, to the grantees of the lot
formerl yawned by A. T. Shupe, the right to extend any
building that her estate may erect over the above said strip
of land in such a manner as to leave a clear passage way
over and. above said strip of land 3 feet in widtll and 16
feet in lenath and 8 feet above said strip of land. No part
of which said extension to be less than 8 feet above said
strip of land.
