Up until May of 1973, she resided in her homestead without any
pa+,ticu1l1r disability, but from May 19}3 to Jurle of 1974, she
required nursing and other custodial care at her home. ',tn June
of 19.74, it was ,nl3cessary 'that she obtaininstutiona:l. oare, and
from that point on until the time of her deatn, she was in
various hospitals, inqluding Holy Spirit Hospital" Call1P HiH I
Pa. and rolyclinicMedical Center, Harrisburg, Pa." and Blue
Ridge Haven West Nursing llome until the time of her del'lth,
During her period of instutional care., ,she was attended by
V/lriOus'phys:l.cians, including R. C. Grandon, M.D. and James'S.
Koury, Jr .'t M. D,
During this entire period of dme, her son. James W, Fry,
who is her executor and sole legatee personally paid a~l of her
expeniles, constituting accrued loans to her, Inspite of the
'~act that decedent waS in possession of some funds, she would
not ):lave been, able ,to afford and pay for necessary care w,it;h,out
the sale of her residence in, which she and her said son had
together lived, and such sale and'disposition of other assets
would haVe required guard:i.anshippr.ocefldings, ..
