I, RAY M. LEIB, of the Borough of Carlisle, cumberland
County, Pennsylvania, being of sound and disposing mind,
memory and understanding, do make, publish and declare this
as and for my last will and Testament.
ITEM I. I direct my Executor to pay my debts and funeral
expenses.
ITEM 2. I bequeath the sum of Ten Thousand ($10,000.00)
Dollars to my brother, Lee M. Leib, and Kathleen Leib, his
wife.
ITEM 3. I bequeath the sum of Five Thousand ($5,000.00)
Dollars to my nephew, William L. Leib, and Molly Leib, his
wife.
ITEM 4. I bequeath the sum of Five Thousand ($5,000.00)
Dollars to my niece, Edna L. Hawbaker, and John F. Hawbaker, Jr.,
her husband.
ITEM 5. I bequeath the sum of Five Thousand ($5,000.00)
Dollars to my niece, Mildred K. Looker, and Jacob L. Looker, Jr.,
her husband.
ITEM 6. I bequeath the sum of Five Thousand ($5,000.00)
Dollars to my nephew, Paul J. Kauffman, and Jo, his present
wife.
ITEM 7. I bequeath the sum of Five Thousand ($5,000.00)
Dollars to my niece, Frances K. Arbegast.
ITEM 8. I bequeath the sum of Five Thousand ($5,000.00)
Dollars to the First United Methodist Church, of carlisle,
Pa., to be used at the direction of the Trustees.

Dollars to the American Cancer Society, Carlisle, Fa. Chapter.
ITEM 12. I bequeath the sum of Two Thousand ($2,000.00)
Dollars to the Heart Association of Central Pennsylvania,
Harrisburg, Pa.
ITEM 13. I bequeath the sum of Five Thousand ($5,000.00)
Dollars to Lebanon Valley College, Annville, Pa., for the
general purposes of that institution.
ITEM 14. I bequeath the sum of Five Thousand ($5,000.00)
Dollars to Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pa., for the general
purposes of that institution.
ITEM 15. I devise and bequeath all the rest and remainder
of my property, both real and personal, to the Carlisle Hospital,
Carlisle, Pa., for such use as the Board of Directors may
see fit.
ITEM 16. I nominate, constitute and appoint the Commonwealth
National Bank, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Branch, as the Executor
of this my last will and Testament, and I request that George
F. Douglas, Jr., Esquire, serve as the attorney for the
Estate.

I am a licensed Real Estate Sroker, licensed by the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania, and have been actively engaoed in the real estate
business for the past tI~enty-eight years in the r.umberland County area.
I am thoroughly familiar with real estate values in this area.
On November 5, 19AO, I inspected the property of Ray ~1. Leib, to
determine my opinion of its fair market value on October 13, 1980, the
date of death of !~r. Lei b.
This property is located in the Third \'Iard of the Borough of Carlisle,
fronts 60 ft. on lhe Ellst side of Parker Street and extends 120 ft. in an
easterly direction and is designated as No. 69 Parker Street. The property
is recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds for Cumberland County
in Deed Book "U", Vol. 13, Page 390.
It is improved with a two-story brick dwelling house with asphalt
shingle roof. There is both a rear and side porch and one-car frame
garage located at the rear of the lot. The first floor consists of an
entrance hall with guest closet; living room; dining room and kitchen
with built-in cabinets, file floor and a rellr porch with frost free
flush toilet.
The second floor contains three bedrooms, bath and balcony. The
master bedroom h35 two closets, ~ stairway leads to lhe attic which
provides ample storage space, The ollsement is under the entire d\~elling,
has stone foundation and cement floor. The heating system is American
Standard gas fireri hot air, l'later is heated by a 52 gal. electric unit.
The electric service is 60 amp.. The living room, dining room, hall and
stairway have wall to wall carpet.
This property \~as built approximately 1931, is in excellent condi-
tion for its age, hOI'lever it could use modernization.

perties in this neighborhood, it is my opinion that the fair market
value as of Octoner 13, 1980 ,.a5 approximately $68,500.00.

It is my understandi ng that our computations differ from those of your
offi ce as to the amount of Inheritance Tax due for the Ray Leib Estate, To
reso 1 ve thi s d fference. I wi 11 exp 1 ai n how I arrived at the Inheritance Tax due
in this Estate.
Item 41 on Schedul e B of the return $4,934.61 was payable to Mr. Leib 's
Insurance Trust and not a probate item. The total amount going into the Trust
including insurance proceeds of $33,922.66 was $38,857.27. Under the terms of
the Trust instrument $35,000.00 is directed to noncharitable beneficiaries and
the remainder to charity. Since 'it is not possible to distinguish funds
allocated to charitable and noncharitable beneficiaries, the taxable portion of
the $4,934.61 would be as follows:

and Final Account of The Commonwealth National Bank, Executor of
the Estate of Ray M. Leib, Deceased, Late of the Borough of
Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, having been duly filed
and confirmed by the Court, along with the Distri.bution Account
and the Statement of Proposed Distribution distributing to
Carlisle Hospital and lIealth Services, a Pennsylvania Non-profit
Corporation, 246 Parker st" Carlisle, Pa. 17013, the real estate
known as 69 Parker Street, Carlisle, Cumberland County,
Pennsylvania, and the same having been approved, it is ordered,
adjudged and decreed that the said property, as described
hereunder, is hereby awarded to the Carlisle Hospital and Health
Services:
ALL the following described parcel of ground lying and being
situate on the East side of Parker Street in the Borough of
Carlisle, cumberland County, Pennsylvania, bounded and described
as follows:
ON the North by property of F. Eugene Reader and wife; on the
East by an alley sixteen feet in width; on the South y property
of Lee D. Gabler and wife; and on the West by Parker Street,
having a frontage on said Parker Street of siyty (60) feet and
extending at an even width a distance of one hundred twenty (120)
feet to said alley, and being composed of parts of Lots Nos. 199

and 200 on the Plot of the Mooreland Land company, and having
erected thereon a two story brick dwelling house and other
improvements known and numbered as No. 69 Parker Street.
This conveyance i5 made subject to certain building and
other restrictions as the same are attached to and made a part of
th Plot of said Mooreland Land Company as recorded in the Office
of the Recorder of Deeds in and for Cumberland County,
Pennsylvania.
BEING THE SAME PREHISES WHICH Clarence J. Groninger and
Evelyn w. Groninger, his wife, granted and conveyed unto Ray M.
Leib and Nellie K. Leib, his wife, by deed dated April 28, 1948,
and recorded in the Cumberland Countv Recorder of Deeds Office in
Deed Book 13 U 390. The said Nellie-K, r,eib died 9/27/79 ,
thereby vesting ti.tle in Ray M. Leib, who died testate on October
13, 1980, leaving his last will and testament duly filed with the
Register of wills of Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, in which he
named the Carlisle Hospital as residuary devisee and legatee.
The recorder of deeds is directed to record this Order among
the records of deeds in his official custody and to index the
same in the Grantor index against the name of Ray M. Leib and to
index the same in the Grantee index under the name of Carlisle
Hospital and Health Services.
