GENERAL INHERITANCE TAX INFORMATION
Unsatisfied liabilities incurred by the decedent prior to his/her death are deductible against his/her taxable estate,
In addition to debts incurred by the decedent or estate, other items are claimable including the cost of administration,
attorney fees, fiduciary fees, funeral and burial expenses including the cost of a burial lot, tombstone or grave marker,
All debts being claimed against an estate are subject to the approval of the Register of Wills with whom the
Inheritance Tax Return is filed, Evidence to support the decedent's or the estate's liabilitY for the debts being claimed
should be attached to this schedule,
A family exemption of $2,000 may be claimed by a spouse of a decedent who died domiciled in Pennsylvania,
If there is no spouse, or if the spouse has forfeited his/her rights, then any child of the decedent who is a member of
the same household can claim the exemption, In the event there is no such spouse or child, the exemption can be
claimed by a parent or parents who are members of the same household as the decedent.

distributed in kind, to wit:
Tract No. 1 - ALL that certain tract of land with dwelling house erected
thereon, situate at 127 West King Street, in the Borough of Shippensburg,
CUmberland County, Pennsylvania.
BEING the same tract of land which rester H. Brener and Helen S. Brener,
his wife, by their Deed dated September 26, 1967, and recorded in the Office
of the Recorder of Deeds of CUmberland county, Pennsylvania, in Deed Book "N",
Volume 22, Page 302, conveyed to Chalmers P. Means and Elizabeth M. Means,
his wife, and the said Chalmers P. Means died August 13, 1976, survived by
his said wife, Elizabeth M. Means, now deceased.
Tract No. 2 - All that certain tract of unimproved land situate in Hopewell
'rownship, Cumberland COW1ty, Pennsylvania, containing 67.299 acres.
BEING a portion of that real estate which Jennette E. Lippert and Mervin R.
Lippert, her husband, by their Deed dated March 21, 1938, and recorded in
the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, in
Deed Book "V", Volume 11, Page 48, conveyed to Chalmers P. Means, and the said
Chalmers P. Means died August 13, 1976 and by his last will and 'l'estament,
devised the same to his said wife, Elizabeth M. Means, now deceased.
