PETITION FOR APPOINTMENT
OF GUARDIAN OF THE ESTATE OF
AN ALLEGED INCOMPETENT
TO THE HONORABLE, THE JUDGES OF SAID COURT:
The petition of Allen J. Nadeau respectfully represents:
1. Petitioner resides at 245 South West Street, Carlisle,
Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. Petitioner is not related to
the alleged incompetent but he is a person interested in the
welfare of the alleged incompetent.
2. Esther NOding, the alleged incompetent is presently 86
years of age. She resided at 241 Walnut Bottom Road, carlisle,
Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, prior to her admission to
Carlisle Hospital on or about February 25, 1981. She is presently
a guest at Forest Park Nursing Home, carlisle, Cumberland County,
Pennsylvania. She is not a patient at a mental hospital.
3. The next of kin of the alleged incompetent who is sui
juris who would be entitled to share in the estate of the alleged
incompetent if she died intestate is Edith M. Smith, first cousin,
who resides at 570B Oakwood Road, Baltimore, ~ID, 21227.
4. The nature and extent, so far as known to your petitioner,
of the gross value of the alleged incompetent's estate and her net
income from all sources are as follows:
(a) gross value of the estate
Checking account, Farmers Trust Co.
Savings account, Farmers Trust Co.
Safe deposit box, Farmers Trust Co.,

5. Esther NOding, the alleged incompetent has never been a
member of the armed services nor is she receiving benefits from
the Veterans Administration.
6. Petitioner avers that Esther Noding, the alleged in-
competent, because of the infirmities of old age, is unable to
manage her property or is liable to dissipate it or become the
victim of designing persons.
7. The name and address of the proposed guardian of her
estate is Farmers Trust Company, Carlisle, Pennsylvania, whose
consent to act as guardian is attached hereto.
8. No other court has assumed jurisdiction in any proceeding
to determine the competency of the alleged incompetent.
9. No guardian has heretofore been appointed for the alleged
incompetent.
WHEREFORE, petitioner prays your Honorable court for the
issuance of a citation directed to Esther Noding, the alleged
incompetent to show cause why she should not be adjudged an
incompetent and a guardian appointed for her estate.
