MUNICIPAL LIEN FOR SEWER SERVICES
North Middleton Authority, North Middleton Township, County of Cumberland,
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by its solicitor, Martson Deardorff Williams Otto Gilroy &
Faller, hereby files its claim for sewer services against the real estate hereinafter described
and sets forth its claim as follows:
STATEMENT OF CLAIM
The name of the municipality by which this claim is filed is North Middleton Authority, a
municipal authority of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, located in the County of
Cumberland and organized pursuant to ordinances of North Middleton Township.

The name or names of owner or owners or reputed owner or owners, of the property against
which this claim is filed is Douglas W. Carey, Sr., 1134 Newville Road, Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

A description of the property against which this lien is filed is attached hereto and marked as
Exhibit "A" with an address of 1134 Newville Road, Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

The authorities under and by virtue of which this lien is filed is the Municipal Claims and
Liens Act of May 16, 1923, P.L. 207, as amended and supplemented, 53 P.S. 7101 et seq.

The lien is claimed for unpaid sewer user fees against the above-described property in the
amount of $4,000.00.

Interest is claimed on the above-mentioned amount from September 20, 2006.

THIS DEED,
MADE THE 11th day of September in the year two thousand one (2001)
BETWEEN SCOTT E. CAREY and DOUGLAS W. CAREY, of
Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, hereinafter called Grantors,
AND DOUGLAS W. CAREY SR., of Cumberland County,
Pennsylvania, hereinafter called Grantee.
WITNESSETH, that in consideration of the sum of One Dollar and 00/100 ($1.00)
Dollar, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said Grantors do hereby grant and
convey unto the said Grantee, his heirs and assigns:
ALL that certain tract of land with the improvements thereon erected situate in North
Middleton Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, bounded and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the middle of the concrete road between Carlisle and
Newville, thence in a southerly direction 207%2 feet along land now or formerly of Mrs. Zoe
Weakley to an iron pin in the northern line of a 16 foot alley; thence at right angles along the said
alley west 100 feet to an iron pin; thence at right angles along land now or formerly of Edward R.
Lay (known as Lot #4 on a plan, hereinafter mentioned) 207'/2 feet to a point; in the middle of the
concrete road aforesaid; thence along the middle of the said road 100 feet to a point, the place of
BEGINNING.
BEING Lots #5 and #6 on a certain plan of lots laid out by Edward R. Lay on October 11,
1924, said Plan being of record in the office of the Recorder of Deeds in and for Cumberland
County, Pennsylvania in Plan Book No. 2, Page 40.
BEING the same premises which John M. Bloser, granted and conveyed to Anna J.
Bloser, by Deed dated January 13, 1937, and recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds for

EXHIBIT "A"
Cumberland County in Deed Book "R", Volume 11, Page 391. The said Anna J. Bloser later
married Harry R. Patterson and died on November 25, 1973. Whereby the Last Will and
Testament of Anna J. Patterson was probated in the office of the Cumberland County Register of
Wills to #21-74-0449. In the said Will of Anna J. Patterson, she granted and conveyed a life
estate in her real estate to Harry R. Patterson for his lifetime. The said Harry R. Patterson died
July 22, 1974, whereby his life estate ceased. Upon his death the life estate granted in the Last
Will and Testament of Anna J. Patterson continued to Mildred J. Carey. The said Mildred J.
Carey died December 8, 2000, whereby her life estate ceased. Upon the death of said Mildred J.
Carey, said real estate was Willed by Anna J. Patterson to the children of Mildred J. Carey, Scott
E. Carey and Douglas W. Carey, Grantors herein.
GRANTORS HEREBY CERTIFY THAT NO PROCEEDINGS INVOLVING DIVORCE ARE NOW
CONTEMPLATED OR PENDING IN ANY JURISDICTION.
THIS TRANSFER IS BEING MADE FROM BROTHER TO BROTHER AND IS THEREFORE EXEMPT
FROM REALTY TRANSFER TAX.
UNDER AND SUBJECT, NEVERTHELESS, to all easements, restrictions,
encumbrances and other matters of record or that a physical inspection or survey of the premises
would reveal.
AND the said Grantors hereby covenant and agree that they will warrant specially the
property hereby conveyed.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, said Grantors have hereunto set their hands and seals the day,
month and year first above written.
