hcreinafter referred to as Owner, whercby the former undertook and agrecd to erecl and construct
a housing rehabililation projecl in Cllmberlalld COlln/y.
NOW THEREFORE, THIS AGREEMENT WITNESSETH: That the said Conlructor, for and in
consideration of the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) to and in hand paid by Owner, the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, and the further consideralion mentioned in Ihe Agreement
aforesaid, for themselves and their subconlraclors, and all parties acting through or under Ihem,
covenant and agree Ihat no mechanic's liens or claims shall be filed or maintained by Ihem or any
of them against the said buildings and the 101 of ground appurtenant Ihereto for or on account of
any work done or materials furnished by Ihem or any of Ihem under said contract or otherwise,
for, towards, in, or about Ihe erection and conSlruclion of the said buildings on the 101 above
described and the said Conlractor, for themselves, their subcontructors and others under Ihem
hereby expressly waive and relinquish the righl to have, file, and maintain any mechanic's liens
or claims against the said buildings or any of Ihem, and agree Ihal this instrument, waiving Ihe
right of lien, shall be an independent covenant.
