Thc Plaintiffs arc Nancy Ann Horn and Joscph Ray Horn, Jr., hcr husband, adult individuals rcsiding at 345 Old Mill Road, Carlislc, Pcnnsylvania 17013. 2. Thc Dcfcndant is Lauric M, Ulrich alkla Laurccn M. Ulrich, an adult individual residing at 25 Rcgcncy Woods North, Carlislc, Pcnnsylvania 17013. 3. On August 9, 1996, at approximately 8:00 p,m" thc plaintiffs were travelling on Pa. Routc 944 Westbound in Middlescx Township. 3 4. As the Plaintin:~ lIpprollehed the intersection of State Route 94411nd Sunnyside Drive, 1I 1989 Oldsmobile C:utlllss stlltion wlIgon operated by the Defendllnt, Laurecn M. Ulrich, entcred tbe intersection lInd struck the right front ofthc PllIintiffs' vehicle. 5. The vehicle driven by Defendant, Lauric M. Ulrich lIik/a Laureen M. Ulrich, entered the intersection without warning lidling to stop at the posted stop sign. 6. The vehicle driven by the PllIintif1: Joseph RlIY Horn, Jr., did not hllve adequate time to avoid the collision with the vchicle of the Defendllnt. 7. The impact of the collision bctwcen the Plaintiffs' vchicle and the vehicle of the Defendant caused severe injuries to both Nancy A. Horn and Joseph R. Horn, Jr. 8. The impact of the collision caused serious and permanent injuries to the Plaintiff, Nancy A. Horn who was a passenger in the front scat of the vehicle at the time of the accident. The impact oflhe collision caused serious and pcrmanent injurics to the Plaintiff: Joseph R. 110m. Jr.. thc driver of the vehiclc atthc time of the accident. lie reccived severe injurk's to his chest and knees. 10. The accident and injuries sustained by Plaintiffs was caused by the negligent, carelcss and reckless actions of the Defendant. Laurcen M. Ulrich. II. Defendant Laureen M. Ulrich's conduct was negligent, careless and reckless and with disregard and indifference to the rights and wellbeing of others and the Plaintiffs in that she was: a. negligent in tailing to stop a posted stop sign which was clearly visible for a distanec of 405 feet; b. negligent in failing to avoid crashing her vehicle into the Plaintiffs' vehicle; e. traveling in and operating her vehicle in a reckless and careless manner; d. negligent in failing to obey stop sign; and e. negligent in !(liling to yield at the intersection to the Plaintiffs' vehicle. f. travelling too fast into the intersection to avoid the vchicle ofthe Plaintiffs. 12. Thc negligcnt actions of the Defendant, Laureen M. Ulrich, are the proximate cause of the injuries to the Plaintiffs, Nancy A.
