PAMELA EVANS CALLED AND REPORTED THAT HER SEPARATED HUSBAND,
JEFFERY EVANS, WAS JUST OUTSIDE HER RESIDENCE POUNDING ON HER
DOOR. UPON ARRIVING AT THE SCENE I WAS INFORMED THAT JEFFERY
HAD JUST CALLED PAMELA ON THE PHONE.
PAMELA SAID SHE HAS BEEN SEPARATED FROM JEFFERY FOR ABOUT TWO
MONTHS. SHE SAID THEY HAVE A CHILD TOGETHER. PAMELA IS IN
THE PROCESS OF WORKING WITH LEGAL SERVICES FOR DIVORCE PROCESS.
PAMELA SAID THAT AT ABOUT 2322 HRS. ON 10-04-00, JEFF HAD CALLED
HER RESIDENCE. JEFF KEPT ASKING PAMELA IF SHE WAS "FUCKING"
A FRIEND OF HIS, NAMED "MIKE". JEFF KEPT ASKING THIS OVER AND
OVER, AND PAMELA COULD TELL HE WAS UPSET. PAMELA SAID SHE TRIED
TO TELL JEFF "NO" THIS WAS NOT TRUE TO TRY AND CALM JEFF DOWN.
JEFF THEN HUNG UP.
ABOUT FIVE MINUTES LATER. JEFF CALLED AGAIN. THIS TIME JEFF
SAID TAMMY AND "SPANKY" TOLD HIM SHE WAS AND HE AGAIN HUNG UP.
PAMELA SAID SHE WENT UP TO BED AT ABOUT 2358 HRS.. AT ABOUT
0010 HRS., HER NIECE, MARQUIDA BROWN, CAME TO HER ROOM AND
SAID, SOMEONE WAS AT THE DOOR POUNDING. PAMELA WENT DOWNSTAIRS
AND JEFFERY WAS AT THE DOOR POUNDING ON IT AND TELLING HER TO
COME OUT OR LET HIM IN. PAMELA TOLD HIM "NO", SHE WASN'T
COMING OUT AND HE WASN I T COMING IN. PAMELA WENT BACK UPSTAIRS.
AT ABOUT 0017 HRS., PAMELA I S NEPHEW, KENTORI JOHNSON, TOLD
PAMELA THAT JEFFERY WAS STILL ON THE FRONT PORCH.
AT ABOUT 0022 HRS. PAMELA SAID THE PHONE RANG AND IT WAS JEFFERY
AGAIN. THIS TIME JEFFERY SAID TO PAMELA THAT HE WOULD KILL HER
AND THE KIDS IF SHE WAS SLEEPING WITH ANYONE ELSE. HE REPEATED
THIS SEVERAL TII'iiES AS HE WAS TALKING TO PAMELA.
AFTER JEFFERY HUNG UP THIS TIME HE CALLED RIGHT BACK AND SAID
THAT HE HAD A GUN AND THEN SAID HE COULD GET A GUN AND HE HUNG
UP.
PAMELA SAID SHE WAS BECOMING VERY SCARED FOR HERSELF AND HER
CHILDREN, AGES 11,8,AND 6, BECAUSE JEFFERY SAID THAT HE WOULD
MEET HER WHEN SHE CAME OUT TO HER CAR IN THE MORNING OR HE
WOULD SEE HER AT HER WORK. SHE SAID HE LEFT HER KNOW THAT HE
WOULD "GET HER".
WHILE I WAS INTERVIEWING PAMELA AT HER RESIDENCE THE PHONE RANG
AND IT WAS JEFFERY. HE TOLD PAMELA THAT HE COULD SEE THE POLICE
AT HER RESIDENCE AND HE HUNG UP. HE CALLED MINUTES LATER AGAIN
WHILE I WAS THERE AND THIS TIME THE CALLER I. D SAID HE WAS
CALLING FROM THE HESS GAS STATION ON N. HANOVER ST.. PTL.

ARREST FOR SIMPLE ASSAULT, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, HARRASSMENT BY
COMMUNICATIONS AND HARASSMENT.

BY COMMUNICATION. JEFFREY EVANS WAS ARRAIGNED BEFORE D.J. THOM-
AS PLACEY, WHO SET FORTH CERTAIN CONDITIONS AS PART BAIL. ONE
OF THE CONDITIONS WAS FOR JEFFREY EVANS NOT TO HAVE ANY CONTACT
WITH THE VICTIM, PAMELA EVANS.

17. The facts of the most recent incident of abuse are as follows:
On or about August 7, 2000, At a school festival, Defendant approached Plaintiff
and threatened to kill her causing Plaintiff to fear for her life. When Defendant
left, Plaintiffcalled the police from her vehicle. While Plaintiff waited. in the
parking lot for the police, Defendant drove up and attempted to block her vehicle
with his. When Plaintiff backed up her vehicle and drove away, Defendant
followed her exacerbating her fear.
18. Prior incidents of abuse that the Defendant has committed against Plaintiff or the minor
child/ren, (including any threats, injuries, or incidents of stalking) are as follows:
On or about October 4, 2000, Defendant. arrived at Plaintiffs residence, pounded
on the door, and demanded that Plaintiff let him in or that she come outside.
Plaintiff refused and went back to bed; however, Defendant remained on the
porch. Later, Defendant called Plaintiff on the phone and threatened her several
times saying that he would kill her and her kids if she was sleeping with anyone
else. Defendant hung up but called Plaintiff right back threatening that he had a
gun and he could get it causing Plaintiff to fear for her life and that of her
children. Defendant further stated that he would see the Plaintiff when she came
out to her car in the morning or he would see her at work. Plaintiff was frightened
for herself and her family and called the Carlisle Police. when the police arrived,
the phone rang and it was Defendant who stated to Plaintiff that he could see the
police at her residence and then he hung up the phone. The officiers located
Defendant and placed him under arrest. The Defendant was charged with simple
assault, harassment, and harassment by communications. The Defendant was
released on bail on the conditions he have no contact with Plaintiff. In violation of

TO HIS MOTHER. THE TWO PARTIES MET AND ACCORDING TO P~ELA,

AND JAMARIUS WALKED OVER TO PAMELA I S CAR AND GOT IN ON THE
PASSENGER SIDE. WHILE JEFF WAS WATCHING JAMARIUS GO TO HIS
MOTHER, JEFF GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND WENT TO THE PASSENGER SIDE
OF THE CAR AND TRIED TO OPEN THE DOOR. PAMELA STATED THAT SHE
WAS VERY AFRAID AND STRUGGLED TO LOCK THE DOOR SO JEFF COULD
NOT GET IN. SHE EVENTUALLY GOT THE DOOR LOCKED AND JEFF
WENT BACK TO HIS CAR AND DROVE AWAY. PAM CALLED 911 WHILE JEFF
WAS LEAVING THE AREA OF HER CAR.
I CAME BACK ON STATION AND CONTACTED SEVERAL PARTIES AND
A SHORT WHILE LATER JEFF EVANS CALLED THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
HE TOLD ME THAT HE HAD GOTTEN OUT OF HIS CAR AND WENT OVER TO
PAMELA'S CAR. HE SAID HIS SON WAS CRYING AND HE W~ED TO
TALK TO HIM. HE STATED THAT HE NEVER TOUCHED PAM NOR DID HE
THREATEN HER. THIS HOLDS TRUE TO WHAT PAM STATED. I READ THE
PFA AND ADVISED JEFF EVANS THAT HE WAS IN VIOLATION OF THE PFA
ACCORDING TO SECTION FOUR OF THE CUSTODY ORDER ATTACHED TO THE
PFA.
I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS SUFFICIENT PROBABLE CAUSE AND ASK THAT
SUMMONS BE ISSUED.

The police who have jurisdiction over the plaintiffs residence OR any
location where a violation of this order occurs OR where the defendant
may be located, shall enforce this order. An arrest for violation of
Paragraphs I through 4 of this order may be without warrant, based soley
on probable cause, whether or not the violation is committed in the
presence of the police. 23 Pa.C.s. ~6113.
Subsequent to arrest, the police officer shall seize all weapons used or
threatened to be used during the violation of the protection order or during
prior incidents of abuse. The shall maintain possession of the weapons
until further order ofthis Court.
When the defendant is placed under arrest for violation of this order, the
defendant shall be taken to the appropriate authority or authorities before
whom defendant is to be arraigned. A "Complaint for Indirect Criminal
Contempt" shall then be completed and signed by the police officer OR

The police who have jurisdiction over the plaintiff's residence OR any
location where a violation of this order occurs OR where the defendant
may be located, shall enforce this order. An arrest for violation of
Paragrapbs I through 4 of this order may be without warrant, based soley
on probable cause, whether or not the violation is committed in the
presence of the police. 23 Pa.C.S. S6113.
Subsequent to arrest, the police officer shall seize all weapons used or
threatened to be used during the violation of the protection order or during
prior incidents of abuse. The shall maintain possession of the weapons
until further order of this Court.
When the defendant is placed W1der arrest for violation of this order, the
defendant shall be taken to the appropriate authority or authorities before
whom defendant is to be arraigned. A "Complaint for Indirect Criminal
Contempt" shall then be completed and signed by the police officer OR
the plaintiff. Plaintiff's presence and signature are not required to file the
complaint.
If sufficient groW1ds for violation of this order are alleged, the defendant
shall be arraigned, bond set and both parties given notice of the date of the
hearing.

the petition to be supported beyond a reasonable doubt.

Evans and the District Attorney having indicated to the Court

the level of serious incarceration, sentence of the court is

Paragraphs I through 4 of this order may be without warrant, based soley

Subsequent to arrest, the police officer shaH seize all weapons used or
threatened to be used during the violation of the protection order or during
prior incidents of abuse. The shall maintain possession of the weapons

AND NOW, April 5, 2001, after hearing and
consideration of the testimony presented, we do find the
defendant did violate our PFA order of October 18, 2000, by his
attempt to touch the victim on the cheek on the date in
question. Sentence of the court is that the defendant pay any
costs of prosecution associated with the filing of this petition
and that he undergo imprisonment in the Cumberland County Prison
for a period of not less than two days nor more than six months.
We give the defendant credit for two days previously served and
we now place him on parole for the balance of the unexpired
term.
