The Borough of Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, hereby files its claim
against William H. Owens and Marsha Owens and all that certain lot or piece of
ground situated in the Borough of Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, being
known as 73 W. North Street and having thereon erected a house. (See property
description attached.)
For Curb and sidewalk repairs for 73 W. North Street together with an additional
ten percent (10%) and $90.00 solicitor filing fee for a total of $ 854.75, together
with interest sec. le~c .. from August 30, 1998, the date of completion of the work.
Prior notice in accordance with law was served upon the owner by first class United
States certified mail, postage prepaid, at the owner's address at 1113 Sherwood Drive
on February 29, 2000. The said services were provided by the Borough of Carlisle and
the charge levied therefor in strict accordance with Article XVIII of the Borough Code,
Act of February 1, 1966, P.L. 1655 (1965), No. 581, Section 1801 et. se4•, 53 P.S.
Section 46$01 et seo., Ordinance 145-C, Article II of Chapter 120, andlor Article V of
Chapter 223 of the Code of the Borough of Carlisle.

BETWEEN ISABEL OWENS and DONALD E. 0WE1J5, SR., wife and husband, of
Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pehnsylvania, Grantors
AND
WILLIAM H. OWENS and MARSHA OWENS, husband and wife, of Carlisle,
Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, Grantees
WITNESSETH, That in consideration of One ($1.00) Dollar, in hand
paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said Grantor
do hereby grant and convey to the said Grantees
ALL THAT CERTAIN tract of land situate in the Borough of Carlisle,
Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, more particularly described as
follows:
BOUNDED on the South by West North Street; on the West by property
now or formerly of John L. ~Spraglin and Isabella B. Spraglin, his
wife, on the north by an alleyway, and on Ehe East by property
formerly of Samuel M. Reitzel, together with the right to use a
three (J) foot alleyway on the East of the property for the purpose
of ingress and egress. Said property fronts nineteen (l9) feet six
(6) inches, more or less, on the North side of West North Street
and is of even width eighty-six (86) feet, more or less, in depth,
and has erected thereon the eastern one-half of a two-story brick
dwelling known as No. 73 West North Street.
BEING the same premises which Isabel Owens and Donald E. Owens,
Sr., wife and husband, by deed dated June 25, 1971, and recorded
June 25; 1971, in the Cumberland County RecordeY of Deeds office in
Deed Book D-2d, Page 648, granted and conveyed unto Isabel Owens
and Donald E. Owens, 8r., wife and husband, the Grantors herein.
BEING ALSO the same premises which the Orphans Court of Cumberland
Covnty by its deed dated May 7, 1968, ahd recorded in Deed Book T,
Volume 22, Page 4g6, granted and conveyed unto Isabel Owens, one of
the Grantors herein.
THIS ZS A CONVEYANCE FROM PARENTS TO SON AND DAUGHTER-IN-LAW AND AS
SUCH IS TAX-EXEMPT.
AND the said Grantors will specially WARRANT AND FOREVER DEFEND the
property hereby conveyed.
